Not whether you support or oppose them, but whether you have one?

    Nope.

Carry a loaded 12 gauge in my ranch/town truck, for coyotes & hogs. When I roll into Austin it of course stays at the ranch, or I take a different vehicle.

Would maybe consider it someday if my life situation warrants, but until then I have no need. Once the Zetas begin to invade Hill Country ranches, I will reconsider my stance.

Don't have one yet, but I live in the racist, the "Show me your papers/color" state, so I may have to get one. Protection from the po po.

    Brilliant! *clank*

I started the process about a year ago, but didn't follow through...just let it slip my mind.

A 12 guage wont cut it vs the Zetas, I recommend an AR-15 to begin.

Don't have one, don't even own a gun, not planning on getting either but I can't predict the future.

I have had one for about a year and a half now. Of course I live in Arkansas. I have a Glock 40 and Taurus 247 9mm.

I'm about to start my gun collection, but they will all be western type guns, and I don't have interest in carrying them around concealed.

I can't say for sure that I would never want that permit. Maybe I would, but I doubt it.

Don't have one, don't want one. Would never carry a firearm.

I've thought about getting one. Not so much to walk around town with a pistol, but just to make it easier if I happened to get pulled over when I may have my pistol in the car (going to the range, travelling, etc).

I understand that the law is vague and allows for police to interpret a lot of things. If you are "travelling" you can have your pistol, but there aren't any hard an fast rules, so I figured that it might be good to have just for the heck of it. Not to mention that while I think of myself as a safe handler of guns, it never hurts to have extra safety training/practice as part of the process for attaining the permit.

Plus, might as well get it now, because you never know when rules might change. I don't think Texas will take away the CHL, but they make it harder to attain with stricter training requirements. Might as well get Grandfathered into any rules about it now.

Just for the heck of it, here are the pistols I own.

H&K USP .45 Compact (home defense)
Springfield XD (M) 9mm for range, target (9mm cheaper)

I practice with both, but when I go down to my inlaws' ranch (they have a range) I like to take the 9mm since the ammo is much cheaper.

I do not have one, nor am I considering getting one, but I hate to say 'never'.

If the It clown shows up and starts terrorizing my town, I'll start carrying.

I mean for the people not armed, how would you protect your family and home from a home invasion??? I have a Glock 40 with Hydra shock ammo, 12 guage.

Are you planning to shoot single-action competitions? I did it a couple of times with borrowed guns, and loved it. I dated a girl that was into it. I did join the club and planned to get into, but I decided I have too many hobbies as it is.

That's the one thing I hated, waiting for the license to actually arrive. Mine took about 3 months.
