I moved from Sacramento to Milwaukee about 3 years ago. Milwaukee may have blizzards, bone-biting cold, and miserable humid summers, but I figured at least it didn't have flooding like Sacramento did.

    How wrong I was.

Drove home from work on Thursday night and had to wade through the parking lot, the water was at least a foot deep. Got out on the road and found that there were lakes where two of my routes home usually were.

I have a 15-minute commute normally; I eventually found a way to make it home after an hour and a half. And that involved going through two spots where the water was high enough that some people's cars didn't make it through.

Anyway, a picture is worth a thousand words:

Text is ok, but pictures are better.

Joking aside, that is some serious flooding. I don't have cable at the moment but I haven't heard anything about this on the net.

    Take it easy there bro.

yeah, it was crazy here a couple of days ago. about one hour west of Milwaukee. we had some flooding here as well. not as bad though. parents neighborhood was out of power due to lightning. it was crazy that evening. completely dark around 6 PM and tornadoes around too.

People thought I was crazy to leave work at 5:15, and I guess they were right and wrong. The rain did finally stop a couple hours later, but at that point the flooding was of course even worse than when I left.

Definitely heard there were tornadoes around too, though thankfully never saw any.

That sucks man. I am visiting my in laws in Chicago and the same happened here. Some interstates were flooded in the morning so it forced you to take the streets where the lights were not working. What a nightmare. Sorry you had to experience that...

Drex... Do you still have the pics of the Rocks vs Bulls game that we went together as a group. Would you share them with me somehow.

I don't, but the girlfriend does. But as luck would have it she's gone for the next week and I don't think she actually has internet where she's at. But e-mail me through the board... I'll upload them to rapidshare and send you the link when she gets back.

Of course... don't know why you want pics of a game where we dumped a 16-point lead in 6 minutes. :p
