I certaintly don't overrate JT. He just barely gets by on athleticism.

    1. In RA offense you are either a post, a wing, and the guy who brings the ball up the court then turns into a wing.

    2. If KM goes down Ariza starts. It wont be Bud with JT backing him up. Unless JT shows enough to earn the minutes.

Despite what fans rate players they still have to go out and earn minutes from RA. CBud earned good rookie mintues last year with his performance so i guess Rick over rated him too. If by over rating our young guys is expecting them to be better than they were last year, then yes ... I purposely over rate them

Why are you allowed to post? The same reason everyone is entitled to an opinion. Doesn't make any of them right. Why is there a thread about Sleepy Floyd? Why are there 10 threads about Former Rockets VS. Current or past Rockets? Because it is the off season and we are basically done with free agency so there is nothing else to really talk about. I would rather see 25 threads about Chase's ability to play power forward than any thread about Eric Sleepy Floyd and 100 threads about Aaron Brooks ability to play center than another Maxwell VS any living Rocket Poll. At least the conversation would be about current Rockets and hypothetical situations that could occur however unlikely.

Budinger is the first back up Small Forward after Trevor Ariza.
Possibly Taylor will get a chance to back up Martin. :p

Ariza and Lowry were always the 2 guards in the game when Budinger played.

I commented that Budinger is not just a slasher, that he has attributes such as decent handles and smart passing, and wouldnt totally embarrass himself at the 2. (adding ON OFFENSE, not defense. And IF there was no other option).

Its not near as impossible to think of Budinger playing some minutes at 2, as it was of people thinking Carl Landry could play the 3.

I'm curious as to what skills (in OP or other's opinion) are required in order to excel at the 2 or the 3.

And the reason Tmac never played PG is because he would have had to play defense on smaller quicker guys, expending that energy he wanted to save for offense. That and he'd have to worry about bringing up the ball too. That said, I wanted to see an oversized lineup with him running point atleast one time.

The old saying is that you are what you can guard.

Bud can't guard 2's, He is a SF. But why get caught up in numbers?
