    "Legend of Korra"

and this one has nothing to do with M Night:

theres an interview with michael dimartino and bryan konietzko and they ask about the train wreck of a movie. very diplomatic answer:

    as always, im cautiously optimistic.

Yeah, I posted about Legend of Korra and that same interview a couple of days ago in the Reporter vs. M. Night Shyamalan thread. I'm very optimistic about the show and hope they cover a couple of loose ends from ATLA (what happened to Ursa, Iroh's journey to the Sprirt World, and Azula's redemption) since a lot of the characters should still be alive. I am, however, disappointed about Aang only living to 65-67 when the average lifespan of an Avatar is like 150 years (though I guess the 100 years trapped in ice has to be taken to account, still).

Korra herself looks pretty cool though:

And with Mike and Bryan's track record of making strong and dynamic female characters (Azula, Toph, and Katara being the 3 strongest benders this side of Aang on ATLA) , she should be pretty awesome. Looking forward to it.

I am a bit disappointed that Dimartino and Konietzko did not leave Avatar behind on their next project. I am guessing that the money was too good to walk away from. Maybe next time.

Splitting the cast up into different races would have been fine, they are supposed to represent different tribal nations after all, but 99 percent white with a couple of middle eastern guys is not the way to go. Well, I guess that's why a white guy is playing the "Prince of Persia".

As I posted earlier, I'm interested in how they deal with racial mixing between the Nations with Aang's son. Assuming he is Aang & Katara's son, he would be the first mixed person in the Avatar world to be introduced. Apparently he will be able to bend Air. Could it be possible that he could also bend water? Can you be only one, unless you are the Avatar?

I will never watch another M. Night. Shyamalan movie ever again. In fact if anything I'll bootleg all his releases and hand them out to the general populace. He doesn't deserve to make money off that crap.

I heard about this a couple of days ago and I'm excited. I'm a big fan of the original series and I'm hoping this will be as good as the original was. From what I've read, Korra isn't the direct descendant of Aang and Katara. Maybe a descendant of Sokka and Suki?

I never thought the characters in the Avatar cartoon looked Asian so I never understood the racial controversy. In this huge world of avatar at least in the cartoon there were no black, white, Hispanic or indian people either. The movie, which I haven't seen, seems ironically more diverse than the cartoon.
