i love both players, but ming is the better player than zhizhi.

ming has better passing skills and can alter a game defensively. wang cant do that.

wang is a very good offensive player, with a very underrated post game. what others have been saying about nellie not letting wang play in the post is true, primarily due to the fact, nellie wants to create mismatches by forcing big defenders away from the basket. this allows nash and van exel to slash to the hole. wang has some very nice spin moves, but he isn't going to stop anyone defensively, and still needs another year of seasoning before he will start.

bradley is behind wang on the depth chart in dallas, and well bradley is a bum. wang will eventually take minutes from lafrentz, and could possibly start in the future. i wouldnt be surprised. in fact, the big news coming out of the golden state summer league team was how good wang was in the low post.

wang like dirk, has very poor passing skills, but id say his ability to create his own shot is probably a little better than mings at this point.

    Excatly!! :)
by the way, you can not say Ming is better because China lost US in olympic by 47 points in Olympic while Wang is the main weapn. the US team is different by then, US has a much better team by then than now and both Yao and Wang and Menk improved during these yrs. if Wang play in world, China might actually got a chance beaten US this yr. yes Ming is a better defender, but he still can not stop Wang score in CBA while Wang also plays center and guarded by Ming.

    Coolpet,

I take from your posts here that you would rather have Wang than Ming on the Rockets?? I hope not!

If BOTH Ming and Wang were available this draft, where would Wang go? We all know Ming is #1 and things are looking better everyday for us because we picked him.

Would people ANYWHERE feel the same about Wang? Would Wang be worth a #1 pick? Does he have the potental? Nevermind, you are saying that Wang is better right now. OK, if Wang was playing for China NT instead of Ming, would the USA Team change their game plan to stop Wang, change it so as to NOT get blocked? Change it to double Wang?

From an overall point of view, I would surely think that a center who is very good on both defense and offense is worth more than a good offensive player. Yet you are sure that Wang is the better player now even though Ming plays better defense and is just as effective as Wang in offense. (That is my opinion)

You see, I value good passing just as highly as good shooting and from what I saw, that boy can pass. That makes Ming a better offensive player already.

So I ask you this. IS Wang really better right now????

It's so funny that Wang can do better to NT than Yao even he dont play for NT.

Wang maybe can do better than Yao cause WangFei will give him more minutes and more shooting chance. They both came from BaYi and BeiJing.

BTW, something your American guys should know: In China, always BeiJinger hates Shanghaier.
