...excuse me but who fleeced whom from a rival team in the Luis Scola deal? Your honor.....I rest my case.
I was wondering that one too... Other than D.Wade and Shaq what notable players have gone to the Heat? (minus the big 2 this year)
The Jazz? Why because its such a tough sell to have a GM to convince people to come to Mormon country? I guess. Anyways no way anyone should be above the Celtics GM and Lakers GM for their great way of assembling Championship teams and fleecing others of their stars to do so . They took alot of risks in Bostons case and Lakers just fleeced the clothes off of the Grizzlies back for Gasol. Aquiring Artest for as low as they did and to win another? I agree with Miamis placing now too but Jazz its debateable they have ever accomplished anything more than the Rockets. I dont get the media love to the Jazz and not the Rockets. They have ZERO Championships and a second rate history compaired to ours in the NBA.
If by fleece you mean Peter Holt not wanting to shell out the cash for Scola than yes Buford got fleeced.
The Jazz are only in contention every year because they get special treatment from the refs every year, especially on their home court. David Stern knows the Utah fans wouldn't stick around for anything less exciting. GET RED!
It's because most of the country thinks Dallas is the biggest city in Texas.... (No joke, living in Virginia this year has proved this)
Third is pretty remarkable for a relatively new guy whose team hasn't won a championship, or even made it to the title series. It'll be interesting to see how high Morey places in this ranking next year.
They can say whatever they want. An author/expert/opinionist can repeat x, y, z, etc. We all know that there's no one better suited for this job than Morey, and there's no one I'd rather have for my own team then D-Money.
Do you really think Buford would've traded Scola to a division rival if he thought Scola would be as good as he has been? Not a chance. Yes, fleeced. You have to take this faux pas into account when evaluating Buford, just as you take into account the way he has identified talent.
