Second best players on a team can't be the best player of the division.

That's stupid people like saying this now. Not long ago people were saying he's the best player in the league, not Kobe!

dirk actually played all of last year and didn't have knee surgery only 5 months ago. Based on when the players are healthy, Yao could be up there.

I'd put Duncan about Dirk. Chris Paul is a top 3 player if healthy.

In the eyes of fans, Lebron's skill level seems to have gone down just because he made a choice they didn't like. He is way better than dwight and wade if you look at it objectively and not let your hate blind you

    I'd go:

    Atlantic - Rajon Rondo

    Central - Derrick Rose

Southeast - Lebron James (Pretty sure after this season, it'll be Dwight or Wade, though)

Southwest - Dirk (Hard one, like Northwest. Duncan, Yao, and Paul can all be put here.)

    Northwest - Durant

    Pacific- Kobe

    Not really.

You are letting Hype and Media sway that decision.

    Lebron, Kobe, Paul, Dwight, Wade

I'd say those are elite players in a class of their own right now. Also listing the top 5 players it could be any of those 5 in any order really. They all have accomplished alot in their careers. Paul has accomplished the least but people easily forget he was putting up HOF numbers and wowing people on a daily basis just like Lebron and Dwight were...he just got hurt...and we all know that is the one thing that can take the next HOF player and chop him down to a player who is just 'meh'

One day before going to Heat, he is the best player in the league. One day after, not even the best on his team. That's just the way these things work.

on the contrary, it was lebron admitting his own insecurities that proved he wasn't the player we all thought he was. the fans love or hate for him had nothing to do with how he thought of himself, and once those thoughts were aired publicly we were all able to see him for what he is. he is a guy with enough talent to be the best player of all time, but the mentality of a sidekick.

so is the most talented player automatically the best player?

that depends on who you ask. if you ask me, i say mentality is an attribute just like ball handling and shooting. it's lebron's major weakness, and yet it's a strength of guys like kobe, wade, and durant. IMO, there is more of a disparity between lebron and those other players in that category than in overall talent. thus, overall, i think those other players should be considered the better players.

Excuse me sir but are you out of your mind? Are you saying that DHoward > Lebron?

Dwight "Useless beyond 5ft" Howard is greater than The King?
