Does anybody know how something as simple as these 3 buttons does not work on my computer? I can't get to the task manager ever to shut down a specific program. When I do hit these buttons, it does crazy stuff like start up the internet. Why is this?

I may be way off on this one but its something to try. Do you happen to have a programmable keyboard? Some keyboards allow you to reassign keys or add a shortcut function. You may look for a keyboard icon under the control pannel and see if something looks odd.

or you might've dropped water/sprite/coke/or any other liquid on your keyboard which might have circuited the little electronic pad thingies (for lack of better vocab) and now they may be responding as differnt buttons.

Yeah, I did spill beer on that thing twice...:(

But Kilgore, I tried that one already and it didn't work. Thanks though.

Most keyboards have 2 ctrl and alt keys. Have you tried different combinations of those keys?

maybe you gots bad sectors, in which case you have to reformat.
My machine used to do all kinds of stuff and especially never want to shut down, I'd always have to turn the power off to restart!:(

Try buying a new keyboard and see if that might clear up the issue...

If not, you might have to install the keyboard drivers again...
