Matt Barnes is a very good pickup for the Lakers. They are looking like they will be better than last year. Obviously health will be the only thing that can stop them.
Barnes? what a joke... the guy couldnt hit a lay up against the Celtics in the playoffs, never really liked the guy till he tried to show kobe up in that regular season game this year, so now i can go to hating him. he is better than luke walton, seems like a lesser version of Artest.
How could I forget Richardson?! Dude was traded at least 5 times last offseason. Maybe exaggerating that but you get the point.
The same way Raja and Bowen are Kobe stoppers. They are good to have to throw at them, but don't pretend they can handle them w/o help. Barnes would be a smart signing for the Lakers, particularly at that cost. He makes the drop off from Kobe and Artest to the back-ups a lot less. But is an average shooter at best (career 3%, 33%, below Ron Ron's) and he is hardly a game changer. I hope Cleveland does up the anti because he would strengthen the Lakers bench significantly though.
Either there's something wrong with barnes' attititude or he's asking for more than he's worth every year. Then, he ends up signing for a year, only to ask again next year as a FA for more than he's worth, and the cycle continues every year.

So when is everybody going to realize that Barnes is an unlikeable d-bag amongst his peers? He's burned bridges at every stop he's made and GMs know he's not well liked amongst his peers so they use that against him when negotiating. If he played his cards right he could have had a long term contract with financial security earlier in his career, but dood just tries too many times to prove he's some kind of OG badass.

Damn....that is another strong signing by the Lakers. Matt Barnes is underrated IMO. He can shoot, play defense and doesn't take crap from anyone. Put him and Ron on someone and it's going to be tough.
