What elements of Patterson's game give the Rockets a new dynamic?

Ummm Horry was drafted as a 3 and played his first 3 reg seasons there. He only moved to the 4 after Carl Herrera (the player, not the poster) got hurt in the 94-95 playoffs and Chilly Pete wasn't going to be enough there.

 

Things have changed around Clutch in respect to Hill. Just last season, we were speaking glowingly about Hill's future with the Rockets. In all fairness, he played decent in the NBA S/L. What drove coaches crazy was his inconsistency. For some freaking reason, Hill looked like he was sleepwalking in the 1st half of games, only to play much better later. To be sure, he had a good overall final game, but as someone pointed out, there was nobody taller than 6'8" on the other team.

I would say this: Hill better be bulking, trying to get some real upper and lower body muscles because he looks like Gomer Pyle next to PP. Next, work on a few back to the basket moves and mid-range shots.

Hill will impress the coaches if he puts out the effort. Otherwise, as many have speculated here, he will become trading bait next year.

 

Hill is inconsistent probably because he's less fundamentally sound and he's getting a crash course now. His athleticism would get him by at times...

 

Gosh...I hope he gets more than writing skills from Battier. Maybe, his fashion sense. Should we expect two Rockets to wear that red jacket this year?
