i dont see how he could not go to the heat for min...unless he is still trying to get a bigger contract but hell, money shouldnt be motivating him with his bank account.

i wonder if the Clippers are genuinely interested in T-Mac. It may be just Neil Olshey doing a T-mac favor by providing this workout so T-Mac can latch on to another team for the minimum...

I think the Clippers will probably just use their cap space to absorb the salary of Jjason Kapono as a shooter off the bench. Neil and Kapono have a long history as Neil coached him in high school...

maybe but i think mcgrady may put more seats in the stands still based on his former star power and even though kapano is expiring the clippers can offer tmac a 2 year deal with a player option in the second year for even less money than what kapano will be making (6.6 million) next season.

financially and basketball wise tmac may be the better move there is much more reward involve

kapano will be the safer move but he wont nearly add as much to the team as tmac would

I don't know how many seats TMAC fills nowadays.

you are assuming he actually plays decent minutes or doesn't start complaining.

would people go to see T-mac? It's like a Lindsay Lohan movie, you remember Mean Girls, but then you don't remember anything else that was good, but people love to talk about her

its the clippers they will be desperate

    also its the clippers

i dont think he can fill seats but its LA and he still is a bigger name on any one that team except Griffin and possibly Davis

of course this being if he can still play if he can then it may be a good deal for the clippers for about 20-25 games before he activates diva mode

I still think that Jason Kapono would be a better fit. The Clippers have two low post players in Chris Kaman and Blake Griffin, plus they have guards that can penetrate and kick in Baron Davis, Eric Gordon, and Randy Foye. Jason Kapono would be a nice fit for the Clippers...

Im shocked he hasn't mentioned Orlando. He said if it wasn't for the GM he would have never considered wanting to be traded. IDK but his family is there and Vince is there.

I remember in an article he said he wouldn't mind going back there. Hmmmm Idk but to this point I think he is just one confused man. Athletes that come off major surgeries always seem to be in doubt about certain things.

Maybe he has something left maybe he doesn't but at this point maybe its denial. The ball is in his court. If he wants to really go to a contender he will put on the best workout he can possibly have.

Last but not least if im not mistaken didn't Miami say they were done in signing guys. They need a point guard to be honest. Mac isn't that.

look at the knicks game. Any basketball fan with a brief history of the last 10 years or so knows what that man can do on a good night. It'd be enough for me to watch the occasional game in hopes that is one of 'hot nights'

I could be wrong, but T-Mc looks like a bench player, something difficult for his ego to accept. IMO the best fit for him is to take the veteran's minimum and go for a ring -- with Miami. Being the sixth-man super-sub for Labron James at SF and/or Dwayne Wade at SG might be enough ego balm to get him through the season. He has enough money, but he has no ring.
