Not being a Dan Downer in the thread, but I like the topic:

    My brother..... :(

Shot at a gas station down the street from our house in Jersey.

    RIP.

I'd give up all of my material possessions for him to be back. People>Things.

That sucks and it's very true, your last statement.

I guess I would have to say the relationship I had with my father. We're on very, very rocky terms now. And perhaps my high school figure. :(

I kept all my collectibles, like barbies and such. Hopefully they'll be worth something in the years to come.

I am extremely sorry for your loss Codman, but remember, you will get to see him again one day in heaven. Until then, when you think of your brother, think of all the good times you celebrated together, and how you're going to get to see him again in the future. He is in a better place now, and I'm sure he misses you too. I cannot imagine what it would feel like to lose a brother.

    Always stay strong and positive.

And yes, one's life is much more important than any material possession.

The complete and utter absence of cell phones. A huge amount of our personal freedom went out the window with their invention and ubiquitous popularity, which most here have no conception of, not having experienced the ability to say, "I'll see you later!" as you drive away and not one person really knows where you are or what you are doing, unless you call and tell them. I miss it.

    HUGE nostalgia bomb.

I never had them all, only Longhaul, Bonecrusher and Hightower. My cousin bought them all, combined them, but he wouldn't let me play. :(

I believe Devastator was one of, if not the only, combiner that had 6 pieces.

For nostalgic purposes, I wish I still had anything from when I was a kid. My house burned to the ground when I was in sixth grade so I don't have anything from before then.

As for things of monetary value, I wouldn't mind having my old comic collection back. My prized possession was Fantastic Four #3 (first appearance of the FF costumes, Baxter building, Fantasti-car and I think maybe Dr. Doom too, but it might have been the Molemen), just because it was worth the most, but I had all kinds of great old stuff. Mostly DC but some Marvel too. My FF #3 was one of the few things that didn't burn actually, but it was waterlogged by the firemen when they arrived. I had a pretty sweet old record collection too. Those all melted.

Was that the same as the baseball card store close to where the Jack in the Box is near 36 now? I used to go to that store a lot during the summer when i spent time with my grandparents. I still remember getting packs of 1991 Upper Deck baseball trying to get Bagwell rookie cards!

My cousin had this. It was the most awesome toy I can ever think of playing with. It was incredible. I don't know what happened to it, I believe its in pieces in his attic. I did notice a couple of weeks ago that the PARTS to this thing sell for a fairly high price on ebay as people try to put theirs back together. Its hard to find a complete one because it had to be completely taken apart to store, so even if people held on to theirs, chances are there are whole parts of it missing.

HA! Same here, I very rarely start threads, but I got the idea watching the Angry Video Game Nerd videos and started missing my old video games. I actually dusted off my old Nintendo, but found that a whole bunch of the games I could have swore that I saved have gone missing. Made me start the thread as I looked up what some of the prices for vintage video games are on Ebay. Some common ones are still like $1, but quite a few I had and played with go for $20-$50 on ebay now making it a very expensive exercise for some nostalgia.
