    Thanks Bima.

Re: Andersen - that is what I meant by "if possible"....

I could see them keeping him because of his partial guarantee, but that would be expensive for Les....at double his salary.....

    ;)

Ahh, was unaware bought out players don't count against the luxury tax, guess that makes sense though.

They DO count against the tax. It's just that any amount of SAVINGS a team can get between the player's full salary and the (lesser) buyout amount doesn't count against the tax. Everything else does.

Uhh, we are getting back Yao and we added Miller. Thats a lot more depth than we had last year at center. If this was last year, then yeah, we'd need Anderson, but now we have Yao and Miller in front of him.

If we need a 3rd PG... Where's Temple? And how the heck did we let him get away?

my concerns are 1 jordan hill got pushed around by dorsey in summer league so i don't see him as a legit 5 maybe in spots but not a guy you want to have to count on for a starter 2. in the same vein if one of our 5's go down during the season (likely too happen ) we are left w/ scola playing out of position or under sizes chuck (big heart can't beat JUST BIG not for a full season anyway) so i think we could use a legit young 5( THABEET MAYBE)3 A good combo guard (chase is good at point in a pinch just not sure about starter minutes just like hill) if this is the year we are going for it no holes barred we need too address these issues& in a better way than paying an old vet almost 5 mil a year i like miller but chances are good we will be w/o a least 1 of our 5's before the season is over witch would be bad now add yao w/a array of nagging injuries a disaster waiting too happen

I think Taylor will play an important role off the bench this season.

I only see backup 2 guard as need right now. Jermaine Taylor will be a real solid one but Im afraid his a year away from being ready to take off. Maybe thats why we hear Rudy Fernandez name alot as a possible player coming to the Rockets.

Mikhail Torrance has not played in the SL. Maybe the Rockets can invite him to training camp. Could'nt they?

Even DeMarcus Cousins was pushed around a bit by Dorsey in the summer league. Dude is built and has more experience.

I figure we give Jordan time to try the center position... he will need to add some body mass to his legs though.

    LOL Morey is a wizard!!!

Andersen gone... time to cut both Harris/Johnson and sign that 3rd PG!!!

Ish Smith has a legitimate chance of being on the roster game 1.

Smith, Taylor and Patterson could see some time in the NBDL early in the season.

Who are some other free agent PGs we could show some interest in?

Isn't Jason Williams still a free agent? Maybe we could get him cheap and get experience just in case an injury does come to AB or Lowry. If we want to stay young, we can take Ish Smith

White chocolate is a free agent. I'm pretty sure he'd like to stay in Orlando. Although if they don't re-sign him Morey might consider him over Ish.

Two Points- Hill can barely play Power Forward and is way too small to play Center- except when we go very small.
................- Strong athletic legs don't need bulk to be strong and would be a detriment to an athletic player like Hill! :p

I'd look at Delonte West or Telfar. Word is that the Timberpups are about to buy them out. Signing West for the minimum is high reward low risk move. He is a big 6'4 combo guard who could be the 2nd SG off the bench and 3rd string point guard or even 2nd string if Lowry goes out again. He can shoot, defend, and score at a good rate and has the ability to get to the line.

    Brooks/Lowry/West
    Martin/West/Taylor
    Ariza/Battier/Budinger
    Scola/Hill/Patterson
    Yao/Miller/Hayes
