My advice is that you shouldnt go to Vegas if you are worrying about staying in a 60 dollar a night room as opposed to a 150 dollar a night room. If the budget is that straining, then you're not going really experience Vegas. It'd be a waste of a trip.

It was a free room from comps from someone I am going with. They won about $5,000 last time they were there, and thinks its their "lucky casino". I got at least a grand to lose while I'm there, so no money strain.

i wouldn't stay at the circus circus for free. if your friend insists on staying there, then that's fine, but if you have a choice, choose something else.

if you win $5000, you get comps at any place. you can go stay somewhere else and gamble at the 'lucky casino'.

if this is the one off the free way DO NOT visit this location its the most visible and also supposedly the busiest in-n-out there is regardless of location. the two times i have gone to this location it has been packed like crazy. this does have a separate in-n-out store but if you are set on having in-n-out there is one east of the strip on Maryland i think that is less crowded and probably a better bet to go to

Fatburger is way better than In N Out. There's a location on the strip roughly across the street from NY-NY.

And Circus-Circus is a vile, disgusting piece of sheet motel. Do not stay there.

Planet Hollywood is my favorite place to stay on the strip. It's centrally located, moderately priced, and quite nice and clean. Although I will say 6 days/5 nights is a long freaking time to be in Vegas. Usually by day 3 I'm ready to leave.

As for restaurants, there is a great Asian place inside of Bellagio that I hit up every time I'm in Vegas. I think it's called Noodles. It's near the front of the casino on the left side.

I wouldn't stay at circus circus if I was paid 300 a night, lol...I can say that for a lot of the hotels there. :)

Going to be visting LA for a week and then Vegas for a night or two in September. Any recommendations on flying from Burbank to Vegas vs. renting a car and driving to Vegas? Based on earlier posts doesn't seem like I would need a rental car while actually in Vegas. Assuming there are plenty of shuttles from the airport to the strip?

Oh my damn! I just got back from Vegas for the 5th time.

    My advice: PACE YOURSELF!

We did a 30 hour binge of drinking, partying, pool time and collapsed on the last day.

The strip clubs are always good, but it depends on who you are going with.

    And...don't stay at the Tropicana.

I was not impressed by Sapphire or Rhino.

I'll take Treasures in Houston any day.

A buddy recently got back from Vegas and was telling me about a club called Chicas Bonitas. I may have to hit that up next time.

Rhino was way too expensive, and unfortunately, like T-Pain's song, I did fall in love with a stripper. :(

YES to the monorail. I forgot to mention that in my previous post. If you plan on casino/bar/club hopping along the strip, take the monorail. If will save you a ton of money over cabs and a ton of time over walking. Plus, during the day, it gets you out of the oppressive heat.
