    Man that article is a little too long. I will only translate the part where Yao "complained". I tried to stick to its original meaning, here it goes.

    It is true they are a better team, but for us, we still haven't resolved the problem of how to play an inside-outside game. Now almost all teams will double-team me or Batere, but that doesn't mean we can't counter-attack that tactics. The key is when I am being doule/triple-teamed, I can suck their defense, creating more space and opportunities for my teammates. Passing the ball to me doesn't mean that I have to score, I can dish and assist.

    Is everyone just realizing their guards suck? I've been ranting about it since Saturday's game.

    Ok it's getting a lil confusing here, seems I'm obliged to chime in on to try clarify the situation.

    Here is what Yao literally said from the article listed in the starting post.¡G

    "The other teams do play at a higher level than we do, but to us, the chemistry between our inside and outside game is a problem remains unsolved. It's now a usual practice to double team me and Bateer down low by various teams, but it doesn't mean we don't have other ways to counter. The key is that I can draw defense and create more chances and space for my teammates while being double teamed. It doesn't mean that only I'll be held liable to score while passing the ball to me, I can make assists and dish out as well."

    Doesn't sound like complaint to me but more of suggestions(pass the ball to the player that commends double teaming) and clarification(I'll not just score but also make teammates better). No need to get overreactive here.

    He also said the leg injury in the Argentina game is OK now.¡@¡@

    Mings needs to have his touches on that team...I believe his reasoning is to open things up better for his teammates...if you look at it that way (which I feel is accurate) then you realize his team concept.

    I didn't know you were translating it and when you'd do it, so I took the chance to do so. Surprisingly-as translation is said to be second time creation- I found that our translations basically conveyed the same meaning Yao tried to get across. Great minds do think alike huh? :D

    Ming is a veteran in dealing with the media. If he said those words, then definitely he WAS complaining publicly (maybe after talking to coach and couldn't get help at all).

    I think after one year in NBA, Ming and Wang, maybe together with Batere, will stage a coup to kick out Wang Fei.

    Oh wait, I think that sucker will be gone after the Asian games.

    Ming got 23 pass balls from his teammates in his 28 minutes playing time yesterday.

    3 times, he shot and made two;
    5 times, he made the opponents foul on him;
    11 times, he passed the ball to his teammates, 7 of these 11, his teammates scored directly or undirectly;
    4 times, he got turnover.

    So, the total is 23.

    According to the official site of the tournament, Yao was 4-5 from the field, winandsea.

    I was watching and saw Ming fight for position down low,but the guards would look,hesitate and then shoot some bull****. I saw a couple times when they played america and he had O'Neal pushed up the lane calling for the ball and the guards looked like he was invisible. The guards are beyond horrible in my eyes, but maybe he will fair better with Francis and company.

    No. He was 3-4 from the field, according to the FIBA. The reporter said he grabed an offensive board and shot it. It is not belong to "passing ball from teammates".

    It doesn't matter Yao got 23 passes, he should've got 50 touches everytime down the floor. It's a fact that he's ignored by the guards for times with good position and open passing lane down low. let me ask this, if the guards don't pass him the ball then why should Yao bother fighting for position in the first place?

    Yao said, "we need to fockass. Even though Bateer and I are being double-teamed regularly, as a team we still need to respect the post." :D

    Ming isn't on his last leg and no longer the star player on the team.

    I have been seeing alot of that. They'll skip a pass real low and the the double team comes and picks it up. If they could just lob it over his head he wouldn't have such high TO's.
