So one way or another Yao probably won't be a part of the rockets organization after next season?

I personally don't mind him sitting out the 1st couple of months - so what? He's that important to us.

I actually wouldn't mind if this report was true. Just make the playoffs and hope Yao is actually healthy this time around.

From what I've read it sounds like a window the doctors are giving him, there's no way one can predict 3 months out from "supposed expected return" to the day, week or even month.

Not been one reliable person on twitter or ESPN for the last 3 months in reporting anything. If another untrue report surfaces? These guys just keep hurting their own credibility and reliability as a news source. They know absolutely nothing is what i have gathered in the offseason and are used as tools by front offices and players now in negotiations and diversion tactics more and more lately. Kind of like the Texans do to the Chomicals John Mc Clain lately.

yeah, its not because without Yao last season, we went from 2nd round of the playoffs to missing the playoffs.

Just read an interview of Yao in China, he said he's lost about 40 pounds in the past two months. also mentioned that he added big weight after surgery, with highest at 350. Now looks like he's making real strides getting back to shape.

    delay rumor is complete crap.

I wouldn't mind if they don't play Yao until January. That's still enough time to work him into the system and get him ready for the playoffs. You have to admit it hasn't looked good for him to last an entire season and playoffs, why not just start the season a little later for him

big deal if he sits for a few months. as long as he is back before all-star break and has some time to work himself back into the line-up. how many years have we gone through this? it's better for him to be ready for the play-offs. it's not like the WTC coming down again if yao misses a few months. we should all be expecting a stretch without Yao. our team is built for this.

IF he comes back in January, that still leaves 3 months for him to break his foot again. Maybe they should keep him out until April to guarantee that he can be in the playoffs.
