I'm prob. gonna have a poster saying its only the summer league blah blah blah. Pat Patterson was taken 14th and the next following pick was Sanders picked by the Bucks. At first I thought they reached too high for him but after looking at his summer league stats and his profile, maybe the Rockets passed up on a player they could of helped them right away. Patterson can still be a better player, but with the Rockets resigning Scola to a 4-5 year contract and the signing of Brad Miller and Jordan Hill backing them up there won't be enough mins for him in awhile. What I'm trying to say is Patterson plays PF, and with that position in lock down cause of Scola, and him being too short and not really a shot blocker to be a center Sanders should of been the pick hindsight 20-20.

Are you the guy who has a mancrush on Sanders and keeps bringing this dude up even after the draft is done and over with?

If it's not you, someone is, and they need to let it go.

Every time someone makes a thread about Larry Sanders a kitten dies.

Fast forward to 3:25. "OOOOH. Make it stop. Make it stop, Jimmy!"

Sanders is putting up good rebounding and shotblocking numbers, but he's still really raw:

-He is shooting 59% from the line.
-He is averaging 0.8 assists and 3.0 turnovers.
-He is averaging 4.8 fouls per game.

Stats really doesn't mean jack. We are stacked with talents in the summer league meaning Patterson's minutes and contributions will be affected. Not to mention Sander's turn over ratio is pretty high too.

PP is not really in this year's plan as Morey explicitly stated that. I hope PP can surprise us like Landry did but if he doesn't, I am fine with it.

I got to see Sanders play once during the summer league. He is raw, but extremely athletic. Patterson is a safer pick and more fundamentally sound, but Sanders has way more upside and potential.

    That's Old Man Rock.

This thread is pointless anyways, the whole rationale is wrong. Sanders and Patterson are both PF's. One guy can block shots well, the other can do everything else a little bit better.
