something similar to WebMD but for cars My AC is cold but all of a sudden it stopped blowing air. I would like to have a clue of what it might be before going to a mechanic.
May be as simple as a fuse for the blower. Does the blower sound like it is trying to turn, or is it not moving at all?
Scotty kilmer helped me with my car trouble. Just e-mail him with a detail description of your problem. He use to have a morning show on Khou for any car questions but I don't think he does that anymore. http://scottykilmer.homestead.com/
A couple months back I had to replace the compressor because the air wasn't cold, but the fan still worked. Now I can feel cold air when I put my hand on the vent, but it's not blowing at all, if that makes any sense.
Probably a blower resistor, or blower motor. Can you hear the fan running? Some cars have vacuum controlled vent flaps, and if they lose vacuum, the flaps won't open-you'd still hear the motor in this case.
