Worthy, McHale, Parish are all considered great because Magic and Bird made them that way. It's certainly not for anything they did without Bird or Magic. Bird won 61 games before Parish and McHale even showed up. He was responsible for like a 30 game turnaround in his rookie season. So maybe that's why no one discredits his titles. For the last couple of titles in LA, Kareem was either 40 years old or retired. Worthy lived on post ups and fast breaks. There was some other guy on his team that just happened to be good at running the break and feeding the post, can't think of his name. The Heat thing is more like Bird and Magic playing on the same team than them playing with any of the supporting players you listed. It's not similar and I wish people would stop bringing it up. -LeFreak
How is averaging, 29.1 points, 9.3 rebounds 7.3 assists, folding in the playoffs? I guess with your theory, every player in the league quit in the playoffs. Good Work...
So basically if he wins leage season mvp and finals mvp this year, Wade is still better than him? LOL yeah right. Funny how Wade gets a pass for asking help. Its not like LBJ went on his hands and knees to play with Wade, Wade and Riley courted and kissed LBJ's ass just like NY, Chicago and NJ.
LBJ was responsible for the Cav's turnaround as well. The Cavs got the number 1 pick, and a few years later they were playing in the NBA finals. It was 90% due to James, proof is now that LBJ is gone the Cavs are a lottery team now. Bird and Magic playing would be ok if Jordan and Hakeem had stacked teams and they were playing at the same time, which is the case here. Its not like Wade and LBJ are the only contenders for the NBA throne, Durant, Kobe, DH and Rondo all have stacked teams. For everyone to act like LBJ and Wade were Bird and Magic when neither of them had won the ring for the last 3 years is beyond ridiculous. Bird and Magic shared the championships when they played, it just alternated between the two. LBJ and Wade and Bosh...not so much.
