Are you serious? T-Mac hasn't been healthy in years, he's not gonna suddenly turn into ironman now that he's older and I doubt he comes to sit in the bench to teach Taylor, and championships? When has T-Mac ever won a title or even a series

I hope T-Mac does well thought but he's not coming back to Houston

one thing that we are missing and its a big thing is the respect of david stern. he would rather have the big name teams and big time players win.

    this is it
hope no one gets injured
with that said, i can't see Morey not trying to make a trade at the deadline to upgrade
let's just hope now that this roster stays healthy and improves defensively

    1. shot blocking. i don`t think we trade Hill, simply because of his length, youth, and our needs.

    2. we need an alpha player. we have a few beta players, but lack an alpha. i expect morey to continue to try to trade for one even if Yao plays like he did a few years back.

We are are good team, but we are not contending with LA, Miami, or Boston with that lineup. We are one superstar away though. If Houston can swing a deal for play-making SF we're in business. A lineup of:
    Yao
    Scola
    Iggy
    Martin
    Brooks
is as good as any in the NBA. A 2nd team of:
    Miller
    Patterson/Hayes
    Battier/Bud
    Lowry
    isn't bad either

We are still lacking a bit athletically in the front court IMO. But I think we can do without that as.

We still need to add one top of the rotation player.

    IMO

    Yao/Miller
    Scola/Patterson
    AI9/Battier
    Martin/Budinger
    Brooks/Lowry

is championship caliber, so I am really hoping that can make that deal with Philly. I would even add a pick to get Speights because that would give us the shotblocking/athleticsm in the front court that we could still probably use.

I'm sure we're still in the market to upgrade talent, but we don't really have any glaring holes anymore. The recent signings makes me believe that we will no longer be quite so willing to trade expiring contracts for upgrades in talent though. Mr. Alexander is going to want to Battier, Jeffries, Hayes, and Andersen come off the books to get us below the lux tax and to pay Brooks.

I still like Granger or Iggy to be added, but I'm not sure if we will have much of an upgrade offensively since they're still only one ball. Defensively, not much room for improvement over Ariza/Battier.

We have a pretty solid, flexible roster now. I'd like to see us upgrade our 3 position. Maybe we can do that from within-- maybe TA will improve with Yao on the court; maybe Shane will be healthy; maybe Chase will play more minutes (or even start!). Heck, I'd like to see us improve from within. But, if we don't, come trade deadline... In Morey We Trust, baby.

The only thing we lack is an athletic rim protecting rim, but Jordan Hill could become just that...

So all in all I believe we have the most 'complete' team out there!

First post. Can we create a Houston4CP3 Site pleaseeee? Do you think Daryl Morey has heard from fans that we want Chris Paul? I know it will be difficult considering that New Orleans is in our division, but it all will depend on who they hire as their GM. If they hire Kevin Pritchard, it will be very difficult. If New Orleans needs to rebuild, what better way than to get a young point guard who won MIP, NY draft picks, expiring contracts, and maybe even Jordan Hill. I'm not for getting Danny Granger or Andre Iguodala because I personally am not a fan of their contracts, plus I believe CP3 would be a better fit because he makes everybody on the team better. I know we will have to take back a bad contract, but i'm sure Morey can turn a bad contract into an asset somehow :) . Another variable is whether Chris Paul will sign an extension or whether he will bolt for New York in 2012. I won't mind him bolting as long as he wins Houston a couple championships before he leaves :) I know I'm not mentioning anything new here, I just want to get involved in this community haha.
