I think he may end up somewhere in between Bosh and Wilcox. Wilcox (from what i remember) didnt exactly have much of an offensive game. I think Hill already has a nice touch from the perimeter, but he just needs to work on his basketball smarts. I didnt watch a lot of Summer League play, but when i did, Hill seemed a bit uncoordinated.
Holy run-on sentence Batman! He will be somewhere in between. A good rotation player, not an all-star.
Slightly less athletic Chris Wilcox with Etan Thomas-like intangibles. He doesn't have the killer instinct or aggressive mentality present in most dominant players of his stature. He seems lost on the floor at times (which may be attributed to his inexperience), and it doesn't seem like he has the drive/work ethic to be GREAT. Don't get me wrong, he'll be a solid rotational player for the Rockets, and he'll wow some with an occasional monster jam or ferocious block. But, comparing him to Bosh, KG, etc. -- child, please.
how bout just jordan hill! why does everyone want to compare one of our players to some other player? let it go. he will be fine.
went to the galleria yesterday afternoon and i saw JHILL in metropark. I was talking to him about Vegas and summer league. I didn't know we had signed miller yet, so I didn't mention it. I asked Jordan if he was on clutchfans and he laughed and said, "Nah, man. I check it out sometimes though. Are you on it?" I replied "Yeah, Bro, all the time. I'm putting this picture on there." he laughed and that was it. "Good luck this season." [/IMG]
Rookie Stats Joakim Noah vs. Jordan Hill w Rockets 20.7 MPG 16.2 MPG 48% FG% 53% FG% 6.6 PPG 6.4 PPG 5.6 RPG 5.0 RPG 2.4 ORPG 1.9 ORPG 0.9 BPG 0.5 BPG Jordan Hill actually had a better rebound ratio(even including his knicks time), and scored more in his minutes. I'm not saying he'll develop into the rebounder and shot blocker Noah is, but we should at least give him a chance to see what he can do.
I hope Hill turns out as good all you guys on here seem to think he is. I didn't get to watch him at all last year because I live in Dallas but what I saw of him in the summer league did not get me excited about him at all.
He spends more time fixing his hair between plays than Scola. It always bothers me when I see players doing that. Scola is an exception because I have zero question about his work ethic. Even in his case though, it seems like he'd be better off not having to have to worry about his hair so often. Where's Joe Torre when you need him?
he doesn't have good hands, and he doesnt have that soft touch around the rim, but his points are from garbage buckets or dunks, i mean he is a nice guy with athleticism but hes doesn't have the natural instinct/feel for the game. sorry Jordan Hill i think hes a trade bait
