They aren't copying last year's kings though. That's a different coach(Westphal) and system. They are bringing back Adelman's system, which was years ago.

Refereeing and unlucky injuries cost them a cpl titles a few years back, so they're on the rebuilding phase anyway.

Come on. The team has improved with these moves. It's not like we signed Charlie Ward, Clarence Weatherspoon and Mark Jackson. ;)

Obvsiously, CaseyH's point is that you can't collect players from bad teams. I mean, just look at the the Lakers. They have an ex-Pacer, an ex-Clipper, an ex-Grizzlie, an ex-Warrior... that's obviously recipe for the lottery.

good teams usually do what the rockets did .. and not let go of their good players .. bad teams remain bad not because they never get any talent but because they let go of their talent to other teams.. so you can either get good talent from bad teams or good teams left overs ..
the reason ex kings come to play for us is bc they want to play of rick again .. and the last two players we have gotten (under rick) have helped us .. this is a far cry from van gundy brings ward and oakley

He only played 7 games in 2003-2004 season, playing 3.6 minutes per game, so maybe thats why

One trend you're missing though, he has to be at the tail end if his prime or out of it, ex: Ron Artest, Miller, Martin (mid to end of his prime)

    trust me bro..

id rather have former kings than have any of those former knicks from years ago (broken down oakley, fat ass mark jackson, even fatter ass clarence weatherspoon, half dead rod strickland and last but not least..charlie freaking ward).
