Don't you think there's a lack of etiquette on your part to ask for a "clutchfans hookup" when you aren't really a well known person around here? Why should somebody put their ass on the line and abuse an employee discount for you when you are totally a stranger to anybody on this board who works for Apple?

The guy's been here for 4 years... just because he's lower in the dumb perceived "hierarchy" here, he's somehow less deserving than anyone else on here? I'd say that implication is a greater lack of etiquette than his request.
Yeah its funny how quickly people will be abrasive or mean to other people when they are typing behind a computer. Just be nice.
One other thing...on popular or expensive items, Apple employees may only get one discount per year. That being said, no harm in asking. The worst that can happen is you will be told no.
I'd wait for the excopc slate. much cheaper and loaded with stuff like webcam, port.... and windows 7. How'sthat?
