i disagree simply because paul is either the best of the second best PG in the league at worse top 3 .. so anytime you can get that, you jump at the opp.

Wait, so you agree with me but you're still going to make personal attacks? I think we know who the troll here is.

This is actually a brilliant move if he is fact planning on making some moves for trades if one just sits back and thinks about our depth and flexibility now. We have so much leverage over teams in negotiations now too. We have no weakness to cover up in any potential deals and deal from the position of strength and depth to other teams. So? If its Moreys intention to make moves this year? Its brilliant. If its not? He is kind of waisting alot of money and players down the roster. I like his and the owners aggressive nature. Love Morey and Les for their dedication to win as much as possible. These guys should have some praise put upon them after what we deal with for the Astros every season and cheapskate Drayton in town. Alexander is a top notch owner in every way. If the GM can match our owner? We will have a title soon. The GM has to be skilled enough to match a owner like Les and his willingness to spend and field a winner though. Hopefully Morey is up to the task. :)

I don't see why people are whining about it. Alot of you wanted Brad Miller to sign with Houston and you got what you wanted. Is there anything else Daryl could have done? You build championship teams by making solid signings of veteran free agents and molding your young players into contenders.

I think everyone should just be patient with this. You are grading a team that has yet to even pickup a basketball together. At the end of next season, then whine or celebrate how bad/great this team really is.

The main goal of this off season was to find a capable back up for Yao Ming along with signing back Lowry and Scola.

Of course Bosh and company would have been nice, but we hit all of our needs this off season.

lets see .. brand makes 16,17, and 19 million for the next 3 years .. averaged 13 points and 6 rebounds .. thats comprable to signing a player to basically 2 years 10 million??? and who were u planning on giving up to get the second overall pick?????

If they do what I think Morey is doing? I am gonna become a cult follower of Morey too. Consider me a Les fan boy and Morey fanboy if he is setting up for the major trade to complete a Championship roster. He is at least putting together a rather impressive strategy of building if he can complete another deal to skim the excess properly from our roster and turn it into another good to great player. Which is what I exactly see coming now.

    Troll....read sig.

We agree it's not a bargain but you called deal an albatross. It's a 2 year 11 mil deal...yeah that is such a long term killer lol

    SPLASH

I like this move a lot. B. Miller knows RA's system and will be a big help this year.
I think this can have an energizing effect on miller and help us squeeze as much vintage miller out him as possible!!!!!!!!!!

Btw, all those indicating that we overpaid, get over it. It's not your decison, nor is it your money  It is a fair deal imo.

That's not bad when you're also getting the #2 pick in a good draft on a rookie contract for 4 years.

Some of you guys are amazing. And not in a good way. People are just born to b**** and gripe.

Brad Miller was gonna earn this amount of money on this team because Yao is a ticking time bomb. Miller will play a significant amount of minutes as a backup. If Yao goes down again (fingers crossed he won't), then Miller is the starter.

Besides, whose money is it, anyway? People here act like they're Les' accountant. I'm sure he and Morey have done the math on this.

Best thing of all: Aaron Brooks, Kyle Lowry, Kevin Martin, Jermaine Taylor, Chase Budinger, Trevor Ariza, Shane Battier, Jermaine Jeffries, Luis Scola, Chuck Hayes, Patrick Patterson, David Andersen, Yao Ming, Jordan Hill, draft picks, and a couple of bench warmers whose names elude me...

SOMEthing's gotta give. Go get Iggy, Morey, or whomever. Preferably someone who plays some defense.

The answer to that question may shock you.

Im kidding. Our playoff hopes will still be alive if he goes down though.

One cannot have an educated discussion on that now. In January? Semi-intelligent discussions can occur. Next summer, you will definitely be able to discuss this properly.
