Lowry, budinger, battier, patterson(or hill) and Miller. Man that could be like a bad team's starting lineup. I can't think of any other team that has a bench as stacked at each position as ours.
Lowry Budinger Battier Hill Miller Not bad at all, and past that you still have Taylor, Jeffries, Hayes, and Patterson
We've always had the best bench for the past year and a half...it's how we won games. Our bench would kill the other team's bench. Whereas most teams are front loaded on the starters, we're more evenly distributed because DM was building assets, looking to trade for a superstar. It's not ideal but hey, I'll take it.
I have a feeling that some of theses guys will be gone before the season starts. Packaged for an upgrade.
I love how we're stuctured now. I can still remember complaining about the gaping holes with the team like not have a pure PG, no reliable PF, and since Deke, no back up C.
We have 3 bullies coming off the bench...wow. Lowry, Battier and the NEW bully Patterson. I have no doubt Adelman is going to mix them up with the starters to make the lineup even more effective.
Our 2nd stringers are at least among the best (top 5 for sure), but when you account for the entire roster, all 15 players on this team are capable of contributing, no other team can say that, so overall, I would say we are the deepest team in the NBA.
This, Dallas has the Rockets beat (talent wise) and the Spurs aren't far behind (depending on what Richardson does).
Dallas' starting 5 is pretty loaded but their bench, IMO isn't the best. Terry is there best off the bench, but deshawn? He sucks.
Against our bench, I would only be afraid of Terry. But I got Battier on my bench. He would be locked down easily. Chandler, Miller and Hill got his ass. Deshawn, garbage. Are you freaking serious? Marion, downhill of his career and only fit in the Phoenix offense. I got the poor man's Larry Bird on my team and I would take him over Marion. Jose Barea, eh. I like Lowry taking his sorry ass on.
Jason Terry clearly still has a lot of game, so no argument there. JJ Barea is just a serviceable back-up PG at this point. He's actually probably their 3rd string PG. Rodrigue Beaubois would probably be the main PG running the 2nd unit. Beaubois gotz skillz. Stevenson is a joke. C'mon. Marion is no longer the Marion from his Phoenix days. He's a shell of himself. He's decent, but that's it. He's been a big disappointment since arriving in Dallas. Tyson Chandler is a shell of a shell (of himself). He's no better than Stromile at this point.
I don't think Boston's bench is "cometitive" since Wallace retired and Allen went to the Grizzlies. Who they got besides Nate? Davis? thats all they got.
