way too much money IMO but i thought miller was 37 right now not 34 even then he is a great fit for this team but really high I mean with the luxury tax they will be paying him 10 million. The center depth is a lot better but still not shot blocking off the bench. I can see this move paying huge dividends but as someone said the Rockets better make another "all -in" type move to justify this signing because as the team stands now with Miller I really only see the team making the WCF as a best case scenario
What the freak?!? $5 million per year for Brad f'n Miller? This is Morey's first major bad decision. Absolutely horrible. Miller just about done.
Les Alexander now over the LT by ~$10 million, paying $20 million plus missing out on the rebate teams get for keeping their salaries under the LT.
Nice, I like the signing. His learning curve will be shorter and he will allow us to match up with Bynum/Gasol better.
a little overpaid. but I like it as a fan, because we get a solid player. it's the owner's problem to pay someone too much, hah.
People complaining about money. Les is willing to spend, which you have to do, to build a championship contender. AWESOME signing.
Good depth. Brad Miller may noy be as "good" as he used to be, but the Rockets are not giving him starters minutes. So he should be effective when he plays.
dont know if he is worth 5 mil a year but i think he will be a good presence on the court and in the locker room
And at this price, the Hill at center experiment is over. Hill and PatPat are fighting for backup PF minutes.
He played the least minutes since his first 2 seasons last year (23 mpg) and turned in probably his worst season ever, by far. Not looking like a brilliant move from here.
thats alot of money. but he will be able to provide leadership and we were in a desperate need for a backup center. great job morey!
Dude if Les Alexander is willing to pay the luxury tax then so be it. Next offseason has a lame list of players other than Carmelo and Yao. And I highly doubt Carmelo would sign here.
