as stated by another poster, matt bullard/chilly pete. he may be worthless during the season but in the playoffs we might need him.

aussie rocket thought it was a mistake the day they got him. He never liked Andersen.

He is more of a 2 guard than he is a center.

No good to us at all..

and this is coming from an aussie

Andersen never should've been brought in in the first place. It was a mistake and poor move by Morey.

I'd like to see that on the offense end, but when Yao's on the floor, you need the other big capable of getting back on D in a hurry and not sure Andersen can do that well enough. Otherwise teams will run on you all day.

That would be no, soft as jello pudding and has no post presence. We have enough people to shoot and hit threes. We need some height/toughness in the post. Put Scola heart in Andersen and it would be a master piece

Yes he is important. He is very capable of hitting big shots and very capable of getting trade as filler. He is important.

I never understood why the Rockets brought him in; not one of Morey's best ideas.

Well, 1.3 of our wins last year were contributed by him so.......

In all seriousness though, he didn't put up TERRIBLE numbers, but he didn't exactly make a direct impact by any means either.

As of now, he's just looking like an extra player that we don't necessarily need.

Again, you have to wait and see what he can do on a second year. Fiba players take longer to adapt.

If youn need to trade him then do it, but if not, i would put him over Hayes on the rotation at least during the first halfs.
I already know what Hayes provides, i think we might want to look if Andersen can do consitentently what he did sporadically.

Im YoYo interview with DM he asked about PatPat getting playing time this season to which Dm replied "With Chuck and DA thats going to be a hard rotation for a rookie to crack"

I think Chuck and DA are good options to pair with Yao depending on matchups.

I wasn't the biggest David Andersen fan last year, but why are people writing him off so quickly? It takes a while for international players to get used to the NBA. He struggled for much of the season with the 3-point distance, and clearly his success in the NBA will depend a lot on how consistently he can make that shot.

I'm interested to see how he might fare playing alongside Yao. The worst thing about Andersen was his total lack of interior presence on defense, but playing with Yao that's no longer an issue. Andersen is a competent post-player, and a good spot up shooter from mid-range. He may be a much improved 3-point shooter as well. Let's wait and see before assuming he no longer has a role on the team.

I kept forgetting that he's in our roster. Tells you how useless this guy is.

and this is coming from someone who's visited Aussy once.

I would suggest that you put a blank line between the paragraphs on your blog, or you indent the beginning of the paragraphs. It would be much easier to read.

Yeah, sounded like a stock answer, not really in depth and more for the fans than any real insight.

Morey is smart he is media savvy......
