DD is a twisted combination of 9 and 10.

    I'd say I'm more of a stan.

I was definitely a 5(tanker) this past season given Yao's injury...

But normaly I'm usually a 1(Homer) and a little bit of a 7(trade machine maniac)...

pessimist. more of an optimistic pessimist though.

after all those years of losing, losing b/c of injuries, unfortunate drug scandals, player goes crazy and commits suicide, star has career ending injury, another leader has career ending injury... kinda hard not be a pessimist. i root for underdogs b/c let's face it, houston has almost always been considered the underdog. it's fun watching an underdog succeed. (see 1994-95 back2back championships).

Does believing the 2002 kings (a team i obviously don't support) were cheated by refereeing make me #8?

    if not, then nothing.

I'm sure they're somewhere, but I guess I haven't gotten into it with any of them.

EDIT: as someone said above, I guess Yao fans count. Forgot about them... they've been quieter recently.

Not sure what statistical manipulator means. If he means a fan who uses statistics in the wrong way to prove a point, I don't do that, at least not knowingly. But if he means someone who loves stats... then guilty as charged.

Otherwise, I want to say none of them, but I think I sort-of belong to a few of them. At least, in the back of my mind, I do think I'm a pretty even-headed fan who understands reality. If I do overvalue my own players over others, it has nothing to do with homerism. But rather, I don't know enough of other players to make an accurate assessment.

#9-just because it sounds cool. I'm really more of a one or a seven.

I'd be a homer if it wasnt for the fact that I see the player's strengths AND weaknesses...so maybe I'm not one.

    otherwise, none of those apply.

Seems to me that this guy has an overly inflated opinion of his writing.

    I'm certainly a 1 and a 6.

Nobody's quicker to tell you how good a guys per 36 minutes numbers are when he only plays 7 minutes a game.

I've seen all types here in clutchfans (except #10)

one type doesnt truly defines me, but the option that is more like me is no.3, and I think its a fact that refs do a lot of calls in favor the superstars (this in every sport)

    Definitely a little bit of everything except for 4, 7, 8, 9, 10.

1)Homer- I fought a good friend who made fun of Yao Ming and said he will never amount to much. Yao wasn't much then, but I defended him because he is a Rox player.

2)The Pessimist- I have been one the past couple of seasons. Lol, as weird as it might sound, especially during the 22 game winning streak.

    3) T-Mac

    5) Tanker- I go into full tanking mode when this season is no longer worth anything. I'm sure I was not the only one mad when the Rockets won against the Celtics after missing the playoffs last season. Or the other meaningless wins a.k.a Brandon Roy

    6) Not guilty of this but If you have been on this site long enough, then I'm sure you have seen 2 different folks arguing on different sides using high tech statistics measuring absolutely nothing at the end of the day.

    11) Especially when there are no interesting NBA news
