I imagine we'll trade him to Portland after Oden goes down.

David Anderson is our designated scrub. Every teams needs at least one player the drunks can cheer for during garbage time.

The Rockets benched him at the end of last year for an "Alleged" back problem.

And they are desperately seeking a backup big man........even open about it.

He may take a buy out, but I doubt he is even a minor thought in the minds of the Rockets these days.

    Wash out city, baby !

i think he has the potential to be a good play, not great, but decent as a back up. he's kinda too soft though.

P.S. yall are mean to him haha

    YoYo Interview:

For some reason I don't think the Rockets have given up on him yet. He was strokin the 3-ball after the all-star break before his "back problems". Plus he's got a winner's mentality and even though he is soft, he can still match up well with other 3pt shooting big men such as Frye, Okur, etc.

well... he's kinda a softy... not something that will get you good rep in the NBA. He's a wuss. Needs to man up.

I'm not sure I'd put too much into that Morey quote. Notice Hill wasn't included. You think D.A. will get more playing time than Hill?

David Anderson is really garbage imo. ONLY reason he got some playing time is cuz Yao wasn't there last year. I hope he gets removed because i don't want him taking jump shots when ever he's open...he has no right to shoot any jump shot at all....he sucks at shooting and it's really hurting the team from some of the games i watched...sorry, dude need to go.

Hill isn't in the same boat as guys like scola, hayes, DA, Yao. You know what your gunna get out of those guys. PP and Hill still haven't provided proof for what they can bring to an NBA team.

I understand what you're saying, but what exactly has D.A. proven? Barring trade/injury, Hill will definitely get more minutes than Andersen.

Why would a wide receiver be important to the Rockets? How many times have we gone through this???

Hill probably will get more minutes, but DA has proven what he brings to the table. He can be useful for situational match-ups throughout the season.

Can we trade him to Real Madrid for Sergio Llull?

I like Andersen for the Rockets. He fits Adelman system and can knock down 3's for a 7 footer. If Rockets sign Brad Miller then I dont see him much playing time with the team. Anderson plays more as a PF than a center though.

    Rotation:

    Yao/Miller(maybe)/Hill
    Scola/Hayes/Andersen

I think that Andersen could come into his own playing alongside Yao at the 4. He won't be as much of a defensive liability with Yao on the floor and on offense he will be the definition of a stretch 4. As a back up center, we have better options already in the Chuckwaggon and probably Jordan Hill.

Is not important, but you always need a third string bigmen.

I also liked his game enough to give him another year in the NBA and see what he has improved. Remember that Scola improved a lot in his second year, as normally all FIBA players do.
