So... we're all waiting... it's been three days, sir. What did she say? Hey mazyar 2.0 ... what's up?
I finally got them to do something positive for me. I got them to slash NFL Sunday Ticket and Superfan prices in half for the upcoming season so I'll be paying $200 for both packages instead of $400.
Call up and cancel NFL Sunday Ticket if you already subscribe. They're desperate right now to keep people. I didn't want it (only team I really watch is the Broncos and I'm a local), so I just kept saying no. It started at "I can save you 10%" and eventually reached "half off" status by the end.
FSHouston on DirecTV is channel 678-1. Outside of Houston the channel is only on when there's a game. All other times the channel isn't on. So, you get the Astros and Rockets and the pre- and post-game shows but that's about it.
That's what the GOOD NEGOTIATOR said. Serious question: Did you end up getting it, though? *by "it" I mean "the NFL Sunday Ticket" deal...
SuperFan no longer exists as a separate package. It's been folded into Sunday Ticket. So, as long as you're subscribed to ST then you will get the games in HD and also get the RZC and short cuts. They added something called Sunday Ticket To-Go. That will enable you to watch the games on your computer or phone. It's an additional $50, but a lot of people have been getting it for free.
I just called and threatened to drop sunday ticket and got $20 off for 6mos ($120). Not bad. She said it was only $300 to begin with, I though thye raised it to $400 for some reason. their website says $300. I didn't have to renew my contract either
We already have Direct TV with them. We pay $76 bucks a month with regular channels (no HBO, Showtime and anything like that), DVR and HD. I think it's a good deal?
That's the normal discount everybody has been getting. Some are also getting To-Go for free. I have no desire for To-Go. If you're on autopay, DirecTV is offering free HD for two years for existing customers. That's a savings of $10 for 24 months.
That's what the going regular rate is with tax. Man, I miss the days when I had DIRECTV Total Plus package for $39.99 (no promotion, just normal rate).
Well, I spent $400 on the two packages last year and I highly doubt that ST is just $200 so I have a feeling I am saving some money here.
New customers get HD for life with autopay. I'd threaten to leave if they don't agree to give you that deal.
They are charging $300 (default rate) for the combo of ST and Superfan this year... I am calling to cancel now to see what happens.
HOLY COW! I just called to cancel ST. The lady asked why, and I told her the truth - I only watch the Red Zone channel and none of the games (for fantasy football purposes). I told her that Comcast, Dish, ATT offer the Red Zone channel for $5/month and that I'm cancelling ST now and will likely cancel DirecTV and switch to one of the other service providers before NFL season starts. I then told her that if DirecTV offered just the RZ channel as a standalone, I'd keep DirecTV and subscribe to that channel, but I know they don't do that. She said "Let me see what I can do for you" She put me on hold for about 3 minutes then came back and said that "b/c you've been a loyal customer, we can go ahead and offer you the RZ channel as a stand alone AT NO CHARGE and cancel ST for you" I haven't been this excited in a LONG time! Free RZ channel on DirecTV!!!!!!!!!!!!!
