That's probably what he'd fetch on the market w/o the RFA constraint. Happy he's back. Can't wait to see how a healthy Yao can play w/ the crew from last year.

?I?m happy there,? Scola said. ?That?s the main thing. ?I think we have great team. My first team. My only team.? my favorite quote

Landry got a fine deal for an undersized PF with knee problems.

The Rockets have overpaid for too long on their free agents, Cato, Mike James, Trevor Ariza. It's about time that they got contracts that are good.

Did anybody see the part about Lowry's contract. I thought it was 4 years for 24 million, but this article says it's 5 years for 23.5 million....is this right?

Great to have him back. Would've hated seeing him play against us

With Scola and Lowry making some $ now.We wait to see what will happen with Brooks. It'll be tough to keep paying him 2-3 million if he's getting more minutes than ScoLowry

    Nope.

"Houston had one week to match Cleveland's package - a three-year, $24 million deal with a fourth option year - but Morey wasted no time."

That's what i believe i saw on espn too.

I'm not sure if this is loyalty or creature of habit coming from Scola:

“I almost died,” Scola said. “It was so stressful. If I didn’t die of a heart attack this week, I think I’ll never die.

“I never was a free agent before. I thought it would be less complicated.

“There were a couple days I didn’t think it would work out. Waiting for an offer was really stressful. A couple times, I thought it wouldn’t be the way I wanted. I would do what I had to do. I’m a professional. If I had to move, I would have moved. Sometimes that is not up to you.

“But it would be really hard to play for another team in the NBA not the Rockets.”

I'm going to call it loyalty and breath my own sigh of relief knowing that my favorite team has signed my favorite player and that he wants to be a Rocket.

I think when you like your coworkers, you want to come back. He's a fighter... aren't many players like this guy.

Good deal for Rockets. Haywood got 55M and I think Scola is better than him.

yeah an undersized PF who gives you 16 points in 25 minutes, 2-3 offensive boards for putbacks and 80% from the line.

there's no question that Houston hardballed Landry then ejected him before they had to pay him his market value. you're not winning that argument
