How is Riley arranging a meeting between Jordan and Lebron part of this? Do you think that Michael Jordan, owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, helped recruit Lebron to play for another team within the same division?

Personally, I want every team in the league other than the Rockets to never win a ring. Since that's not likely to happen, I'll probably root for Miami. What are the realistic alternatives, anyway? More championships for the Lakers and Celtics?

Riley was present at the meeting. He's the one who convinced Lebron to not wear 23, as he was the one who retired the number in Miami. All I'm saying is that you don't really hear about executives having a meeting with players on another team mid season, especially when that player is the premier free agent in a few months. But also, it could've been a meeting that was only about discussing the number.

It wasn't unprecedented. It was the exact same thing that 3 other teams did this summer (NY, NJ and Chi). The only difference is they had their salary/caphold tied up in one of the greats on the market (Wade), and the other teams had their tied up into young players (Noah/Deng/Rose, Harris/Lopez, Curry/Gallo). The other guys just struck out and now everyone is crying. No one would be crying if New York landed all 2 or 3, or if Chicago managed to land 2 of them.

    Ditto.

You guys don't seem to understand what "Free Agency" is. It is so players can leave a place after paying their dues. Lebron gave the Cavaliers the 3 best seasons they ever had and Bosh at least got the Rapters to the playoffs..

These 3 took less than they could have, to play with great team basketball players/friends, so that they could put the best "team product" out there. They choose winning over ego (more shots, more solo limelight). They choose winning over bigger contracts. They choose winning over sideshow marketing/the Big Apple (the world to those that live there). What again is the problem?

Now if you live/are from Cleveland I understand the bitterness--and the show was very bad form, but the rest are haters/jealous. I hope, and think they will, steamroll the league and the haters, unless they are playing the Rockets or Los Suns.

Nope, we wouldn't be 'crying' because they would have 2 of them... not 3.

I can't speak for the contents of this thread must most of the ire comes from the fact that the big 3 colluded with one another, not with any management.
