    what??? it wasnt until last year that he started playing like a star. i think people overestimate him, as much as i like the guy

    This. We drafted Landry, developed him, and gave him a chance to shine. Now he'll be able to cash in on it, and I'm happy for him. If there were any way to get him back on the roster without blowing our budget, I'd be all over it, but I'm sure he'll be too expensive for the Rockets. No, Carl won't be back, in my opinion, but he'll be busy looking for some new digs. Expensive digs. With luck, his role will be filled by someone else on the team this season. I sure hope so. Those are big shoes to fill.

    If LeBron was the prize in 2010, Carmelo looks to be the guy in 2011. A number of teams, including the Knicks and Wizards, are trying their best to keep or clear enough cap space to offer him a max deal next summer. Of course, the Nuggets are trying to prevent it from happening and have offered him a big extension this summer. If Carmelo plays it safe, he'll take the money and security it provides. If he refuses to re-up, you can expect the Nuggets to push hard to trade him before the February trade deadline.

    If this comes true no one should be able to match the package of expirings, picks, and young cheap talent the Rockets can offer.

    you must not remember how his whole contract situation was handled.

    with that said, he played his heart out for us, and even took a bullet. while i think he has a lot of limitations (defense and rebounding to name a few), he did out play his contract and Morey could have done a better job handling the whole situation, so I don't get why people are upset that I felt bad for Landry.
