This is a good signing and i know you disagree about kleiza. When they lost kleiza, they lost a guy who can score off the bench along with smith. Last year, it turned into the carmello show all the time for the most part. Now that smith, harrington, and birdman coming off the bench, it gives them flexibility. In the starting 5, the only guy who scares you are anthony and sometime billups when he's on. Now with smith and harrington, they can run billups, smith, anthony, harrington and birdman out there. A good move made even better by the 50% guaranteed.

Any contract signed with the Nuggets is inflated b/c it includes unlimited trips to the tattoo parlor. That sort of puts them at a disadvantage salary cap wise.

    uh... what???

Why would we wanna make a move JUST TO MAKE A MOVE?? Who out there on FA market is better than our 9 rotation players that we can attain with the MLE????

Thank goodness you're not the GM... I dont know what would be worst..YOU running the team, or CD..

I like the signing actually. It gives them a lot more scoring off the bench, particularly for those nights where JR is off

Yep. Harrington used to be a pretty good post player until someone told him to just shoot the 3 ball all the time.

In all due respect, Harrington's still a significant upgrade over Hayes, Hill, & Anderson.

Yea, here's a bit from an article paraphrasing Harrington's claim that D'Antoni didn't want to use him in the post:

"But in order for the Knicks to sign Amar'e Stoudemire and Raymond Felton, the club had to renounce Harrington's rights. It was a bitter ending for Harrington, who never felt wanted by his head coach.

Their relationship soured early last season when Harrington learned that D'Antoni was trying to trade him during the season. D'Antoni met with Harrington and denied trying to move him, but the damage was already done. There were other issues. Harrington believed he could have been better utilized in the post as opposed to being a perimeter shooter."

LOL on Al Harrington as the inflatable wavy arms salesman.

The other side of this coin is that with the Nuggets signing him, Dallas didn't get him. I have mixed feelings about Harrington, but I ultimately didn't want him coming off the bench for the Mavs.

As far as Morey's reluctance to make moves: we signed Yao; we matched the Cavs offer for Lowry; we will likely and hopefully match the offer for Scola. That's a lot of movement as far as I'm concerned. Especially considering the acquisition of Kevin Martin is still so new. Martin was our big addition. We just got him a few months earlier than all the teams currently signing new players.

Agree with all points and think your last paragraph is often overlooked here. No one has yet seen Martin and Yao.
