Have you seen LeBrick's interviews. He is boarderline r****ded. At least T-Mac sounds a little educated. Plus, the crap LeBrick did is way worse than what T-Mac did.
Just got off phone with with Clippers' Neil Olshey. Clips bringing in Tracy McGrady in next week, in Los Angeles, to work out for them. 18 minutes ago via web reallisa lisa dillman http://twitter.com/reallisa/status/18572782059
Well, he wants to go to Miami to play with the big 3, but Miami is not interested in him. and it seems that the clippers are the only team interested in him right now.
he's probably not a legend, but he's easily one of the most talented to ever play the game. Selected to the 1998 NBA Rookie All-Star Game. Selected to the NBA All-Star Game in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. Named NBA Most Improved Player of the Year in 2000-01. Named to the All-NBA 1st Team in 2001-02 and 2002-03. Named to the All-NBA 2nd Team in 2000-01, 2003-04 and 2006-07. Named to the All-NBA 3rd Team in 2004-05 and 2007-08. Led the NBA in scoring in 2002-03 and 2003-04. All that playing with scoliosis and injuries to his knees, shoulder and back. Cant really blame the guy for not carrying an undertalented team past the 1st round. Heck, even yao didnt get past the first round until he played with a good cast of artest, brooks, landry, scola, etc.
Agreed, good points and all true, but once again, nobody is doubting his past talent, I don't care about his scoliosis or who he had around him, and nobody is blaming him for anything. The facts are simply the facts and for being "easily one of the most talented to ever play the game" his career will ultimately go down as a monumental disappointment. He isn't "probably not a legend" he is nowhere near a legend, and he will be a tough sell to the hall of fame. I personally was a huge Tmac fan before the diva stuff started, I wish things would have turned out differently for him, especially while he was with the Rockets but it is what it is.
"Accomplished Squat". I hear thats the argument you are putting forth. What has Yao achieved? Everyone loves Yao like Yao's their bald always-smiling uncle. T-Mac gave it his all. He gave it his best. Put him on any team with a decent supporting cast and he'll take them places. Places full of glory. Places full of prestige. Places full of champions. T-Mac is indeed a phenomenal talent. He is also a phenomenal player on and off the court. His efforts to try to carry his exceptionally weak team to the promised land fell short, but it is undeniably not his fault. He tried his best with every single ounce of passion and energy. It is not his fault Rafer Alston was bricking wide-open 3's everywhere. He did not complain, his attitude was simply: "Its on me". This team is MY team. This franchise will go as far as where I[ I] Its all too easy to fail to recognise what a true legend Tracy McGrady was. The books say he did not get past the first round. But in all our hearts we know how passionate he was about winning and to be honest, a few better tweaks by Carroll Dawson here and there would have made that journey so much more sweeter.
You accusing T-Mac of being a quitter? Oh, please...just look at how hard and how much heart T-Mac put in in sh!tty as teams such as his previous Orlando team and where he took them on his own. Look at just HOW close we nearly upset the Mavs back in 05. Without Yao, and consequently the season's championship hopes already gone out the window, he took them on a 22 game win streak. (hence how I dedicated my moniker to that legendary feat.) If someone will take their team somewhere, it is T-Mac. Ok I know you are probably just joking, but you'll be surprised how not funny that joke is come half way through the season. Thats IF T-Mac chooses to go to the crappy clippers
I heard Tracy is going to replace the Grim Reaper in Wyld Stallyns. You know, while Grim is off reaping some benefits on his solo tour. Be excellent to each other. Party on dudes!!
I loved tmac in houston before he showed his diva side.He was a good player.emphasis on was!He needs to know his body cant take it anymore.Once again bad knees ends another professional career.
clearly the brian cook signing was merely a ploy to have mcgrady join their team how funny would it be if actually joined the clippers
I read that too. Nevertheless, I'd be more disappointed in McGrady if after being rejected by championship contenders he decides to retire rather than playing for the lowly Clippers.
Sam Cassell took the Clippers out of the first round of the playoffs. That's a challenge T-Mac would not embrace or even be capable of doing even at his best. I'm not talking about skill, I'm talking about leadership. Of course an original Clutch City member could do it, but the king of Crutch City would demand a trade when times are tough. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/_cvku6jv6MY&hl=en_US&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_cvku6jv6MY&hl=en_US&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Tracy and the Clippers are a match made in heaven. Perfect fit, where else could he go and put up as many jump shots as he wants while underachieving?
I hope you make the right decission T-Mac ... I would prefer the Bulls instead of the Clippers. PG: Rose SG: T-Mac SF: Deng PF: Boozer C: Noah This line-up would be great with T-Mac '04 ...
