If they want to come out strong and show everyone that they are legit I wouldn't be that surprised if they do it before the all star break. the teams issue will be effort and post defense.
they could very well make a long run, but 22 is and will always be ridiculous. sure it will likely be beaten some day, but i don't think their team will have the chemistry or the health after signing 8 nearly retired players lol, to contend with our run
If it was so easy alot more teams would have done it by now. I suspect some flaws will show up when they have to take a backseat to each other we didnt know about before. Bosh will probably show 8 of his 24 points are fabricated from being on a team where he is the only guy who can really score and plays no defense up and down basketball just like we found out with Tmac from Orlando. We will also probaly find out that Wade and Lebron have to get going so it slows down the offense and they both have to do it but can still get fastbreak points and easy putups around each other. One of their games will take a hit on who gets the most of these opportunities. We will probably also find out you need more depth than they have when like Matt Maloney of Rockets fame types wasnt enough to help our big three Hall of Famers get past the Western Conference finals teams. Who knows?
22 win is extremely hard to beat. For a team to be able to achieve thar goal or even higher, they have to have heart, teamwork, unselfishness, and determination; something I don't think the heat have.
I don't think this will happen. If the MJ-Pip-Rodman Bulls didn't win 22 in a row when they were rolling over the competition, I don't see this Heat team doing it
It's ridiculous to even think about it right now, especially when it's a mix of luck, consistent hard work, and talent. Even the 72-10 bulls didnt pull it off and they were hardly challenged the whole year, complete domination from start to finish and during a time whent he league was weaker. The heat could still take half a season to get their chemistry together and end up with a solid, but not spectacular record. Besides, they dont have Steve Novak.
I have never seen that type of talent in a starting line up before. Were talking about wade and lebron thats the best 1 and 2 option in the history of basketball. better than shaq and kobe or pippen and jordan. I'm rooting for the heat but if they face the Rockets there dynasty is going to have to start next year
they havent even played a game...you could argue no two players at their prime have been as talented and paired up, but to say theyre the best 1 and 2 option is premature, since we dont know if they'll work well that way. They've only proven to be good #1 options each. The other two duos fit pretty well together and won multiple rings.
I think it's a safe bet that they'll do it at some point. Boston almost did and they were all past their prime. Chicago probably had better teams to deal with or else they would have done it too, and they didn't have 3 players as good as the Heat do. They were 41-3 at one point. Jordan's most impressive accomplishment.
