Sorry about that, the rumor is from NBA primetime, but Yahoo sources are reporting it. here ya go http://nbaprimetime.com/al-jefferson-traded-to-utah-jazz/2854/
why couldnt you post in NBA dish? and is this a misleading title? Are you re-posting the trade thats being discussed or is there confirmation?
Well, from what I read last night, the Wolves didnt want to take back any salary, so the trade exception worked perfect. That is why the Rockets weren't frontrunners for him. They could only offer players (salary) and picks in return.
i am quite dissapointed in the rockets front office. They aren't showing quite the commitment the fans deserve.
Well wouldn't the team such as the Wolves rather have a guy that's polished a bit (say Hill) along with two 1st rounders and some cash? Seems crazy to me Obviously not... but I feel the Rockets could have easily gotten Al, and with him they could still have enough assets to make a big splash at the deadline.
i hope that's sarcasm...we dont have cap space and there's no reason to complain because we've formed a fairly deep and complete team. the only option is by trade and when you trade you have to deal with what other teams value more.
C'mon man. This wasn't a doable deal nor beneficial for the Rox. Trading our expirings for Jefferson alone. Let Utah have him. We are holding out for either Chris Paul with our expirings, talent, and picks or perhaps Ricky Rubio once Minnesota figures out he ain't playing for them.
I disagree. They were willing to offer a great package of players for Bosh, at max money. The Wolves didnt want to take salary back in return, so the Rockets couldnt beat the Jazz offer. What else did you want them to do? They did draft my boy Patterson, who looked great in summer league. They did state many times they will match any offer Lowry and Scola recieve. What more do you want???
rox should have given up any or all of our PFs to get Al Jeff!!! UGH!!! we would have the new twin towers and seriously compete against the Fakers!!!! now we're still too slow and small at the PF position!!!
Good numbers on bad teams. Remains to be seen if he can coexist with a true 'team'...plus he has knee injury issues and makes a lot of money. Morey's no dummy. There's a reason he didn't target Jefferson, I'm sure.
