AB, KMart and Iggy? Now that is what I call instant offense. Clog up the middle with Yao and Chandler. This could actually be pretty fun.

I second that. I would further it by saying that he's an above average slasher, not amazing. I dont think he's a huge improvement over Ariza, but he demands much higher compensation.

If we're gonna have to pay someone that much money, I'd much rather aim for players who deserve it....

while his stats may be a bit inflated, he was/still able to get those stats. Something Ariza was unable to do on a team that tried to highlight him early on in the season.

Maybe, this team is better off with Battier starting. Remember, i think the reason Ariza was starting is because we need more offensive fire power since Yao is out. And Battier is not someone that can create his own shot. But with Yao back, I wouldn't be surprise to see Battier in the lineup again. He just complement Yao better and Yao complement his game. And we need Battier to guard the best player on the other team in every game.

For the number 2 pick in the draft? Brand is fine. Iggy? NO WAY IN HELL.

Brand and Iggy combine to make $28, $30.5, and $33 mil the next three years. Let's assume Brand is worth the full MLE for us as Yao's backup(and that's really stretching his value), that gives Iggy's salary at much higher than any FA this offseason.

I believe Yao, Brooks, and Martin can be a formidable 'big 3' this season.

Iggy has a cap killing contract. His production does not merit such a deal.

im sure doug collins signed up to coach the 76ers without iguodala...

this must be his thinking, let me trade this teams best player and coach a youth movement for 2 years and get canned. i doubt doug wants to look good...the guy is old as hell already he is taking this job so the team can suck and he can look bad and stick around for 5 crappy years...

this team will build around iguodola if possible, if not doug collins will be fired.

If you wanna aquire Iggy you'll have to take Brand contract as well, even though I would love to have Iggy on our team.

Iggy would automatically be the best player on this team. Sorry, but Yao's health is too much of a question mark to give him that honor. Houston should've done the deal for Dalembert and Iggy last year. We're still in search of a backup C and the team still doesn't have a multi-dimensional wing player. The Rockets should also go after Granger.

Hahaha, I needed a good laugh...

Well besides Yao (who is clearly better despite health issues)... Brooks, Scola, Martin are all better than Iggy and Ariza is close to his level :p

You're delusional. I guess I shouldn't expect much objectivity from a guy who believes the Houston Rockets will be NBA champs next year. As much as I want that to happen, I got a good laugh out of your sig.

    Yeah, in a dunk contest

    We did. Philly said no.

Seriously, people. Stop treating every rumor that didn't become reality as if Morey decided to nix it. Sometimes, it's the other side that ultimately rejects the trade. Same with Brand + #2 pick earlier this month.

Yeah, that's all he can do.

He doesn't play solid D, doesn't shoot well from the field, doesn't rebound and pass well, can't create for himself and others, isn't clutch in the regular and post-season and who cares about the fact that he's shown an ability to log heavy mins and has missed only 6 games his entire career. For all this, he only gets paid a little more than Kevin Martin...but yeah, just in a dunk in contest. You sound like a hater. Oh, can you provide a link that shows Philly rejected the offer. I don't doubt you, but I would just like some evidence from somebody who thinks that all Iggy can do is dunk.
