This was expected. Dude is real comfortable there and if you've ever seen some of his past interviews (ESPN has a few specials of following him around his daily life...I have no idea why), he really loves living there and playing there.

i ddint realize he was born and raise in miami...yeah that probably makes it a lock he'd stay....chance to win a ring at home? Keep playing there, raise a family, etc....maybe if the difference was 10 mill versus 1 or 2 it would be enough, but as it stands now, it's not enough for him to relocate elsewhere...he's in a perfect situation. It would only be better if he was starting, but he's not getting that in Dallas or denver anyway.

Already has won a ring in Miami. Full MLE is around $6.6 million per year. If he's signing for the vet min that's around $1.2 million.

Also played college ball at Florida. Suffice to say, he seems pretty content with his current team, location, and situation.

Perhaps, Haslem believe the big 3 would be a legendary story, and he wants to be a part of the story.

I heard that it's 4 years 20 million. It's a discount for the Heat but not that much. Looking like it'll be the Superfriends + Miller + Haslem + Minimum guys. Is that enought to win a title right away? We'll see.

They need a big man or 2 really bad. Bosh said he didn't want to play center. Looks like he'll have to spend some time there the way things are looking. Bosh and Haslem is not nearly enough size.

    KG/JO/Perk/Davis
    Dwight/Gortat
    Noah/Boozer/Gibson

That's a lot of bigs to get through with a prize of facing Gasol/Bynum

It all depends on the centers they get. If they land Miller and Bell then they are covered at SG, SF and PF. Give them Shaq, Miller or Z and I don't see why they can't win this year.

    PG: Chalmers
    SG: Wade/Bell
    SF: LeBron/Miller
    PF: Bosh/Haslem
    C: ????

Who's Bell? Also they still won't have a backup point guard and will get owned by a team like Boston, LA, Houston or Orlando who have dominant centers.

I see what you did there.

Raja Bell is rumored to sign with the Heat.

Since when did Kendrick Perkins and Andrew Bynum become dominant Centers?

not enough bodies to throw at Celts or the Lake show....
Bosh is soft and does not play physical, Haslem is like 6'8? conference finals material though

Look at it the other way, how are they going to stop wade and bron. They might have some weakness but they also have some huge strengths. Think positive not negative. You cannot have strengths on positions. Teams might score against them, but who are going to outscore them?

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. I don't think Udonis will take this. I hate to say it but I believe heavily that he will still be with the heat next season
