I'd stay away from ESPN for the next few days. It would be best to follow through Yahoo. As much as I hate the guy, Adrian Wojkadsag&dnicski is absolutely kllin' it this offseason.
Brad Miller is an important piece to the team if we are still in the win-now mode. We need rapid growth of our young guns and there's no other players out there better fit into Coach Adelman's system than Brad Miller. I think the vaues Brad Miller will bring to the team can be reflected off court more than on court. If we managed to keep Jordan Hill and/or Pat Pat, he will be their best mentor and help these youngsters understand Coach Adelman's system. I can see even Yao, Scola and Hayes will be benefited from playing drills with Brad Miller.
I think he will do it if the coach asks for it. If a coach says I want this guy DM cannot really say "Sorry, won't do it."
I bet you want me in panties......., You said, wad and panties.........not saying, just saying........
This would be a good pickup for the Rockets on two fronts: 1) If there is no significant change to the roster, Miller would represent the best backup center the team has had behind Yao. 2) If they do get Amare, Bosh or Jefferson, Miller can replace some of the production that gets dealt in the sign and trade.
I haven't read the whole thread, so excuse me. But in interviews Bosh has talked about not wanting to play center. With Yao's comeback being "in process" and therefore given to uncertainty, and given all the undersized 4's that the Rockets have played at center in the last couple of years, does an extra big vet in the middle (meaning that Bosh probably wouldn't have to fill in at center) count as an inducement?
Brad Miller sounds like the perfect back up 5. He knows the system and always plays hard. Rick Adelman has always spoken highly of him.
http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nba/news/story?id=5374772 Miller likely to make decision by the end of this week.
After reading that article, it appears any future updates to this topic should be made in the NBA Dish forum.
If he signs elsewhere, then i'm sure it'll be posted in NBA dish, as well as updated here. This isn't a random FA fans just thought could be an option. There's official interest by the Rockets, so i dont see the problem with this update, especially after the bosh threads updating his decision.
If Miller signs elsewhere, who fills the backup C position? He was already probably our plan E or something like that. I really do not want to go into the season with Hayes/Andersen/Hill being our backup 5. Is there anyone worth signing left at the center spot?
The fact is there are not too many 7 footers worth a damn. We could get someone to fill up space and maybe grab a rebound or two, or someone who knows the game of basketball very well. I don't think he is THE piece, but a very high quality rotation player that isn't going to lose us any games. I'd love to have him.
