Remember the owner pledged to the Cleveland fans that they will get a championship before Lebron does?

They don't have the talent to challenge the Heat, now or in the near future.
However, they can fulfill their promise by... helping the Lakers.

The Cavs without Lebron are a team with a bunch of great role players.
They have great pieces that can help the Lakers fill their "holes".

    for ex:

    Bynum + Vujacic

    for

    Verajao + Mo Wil + D. Gibson + A. Parker

    Lakers 2010-11

    Verajao
    Gasol
    Artest
    Kobe
    M. Wil

bench Odom, Blake, Gibson, Parker, Walton, Mbenga, Ebanks, and Carachter

That Lakers team would beat Miami for sure, and thus fulfill the Lebron curse.

How about we just disband all teams except for Lakers and Heat and have them play 82 games + 4 rounds of playoff games.

As much as I hate what Lepippen and Wade did I don't want the Lakers to get better (and beat us 4 times).

Actually, I was just wanting to ask you folks whether you thought it'd be possible for the Cavs to hold a grudge against Lebron and do a Memphis-like move to prevent Miami from winning a championship by helping LA.

Morey should sell that idea to the Cavs.

We might be able to get Mo Williams for our backup PG to replace Lowry and Andy V for expirings.

Actually, I didn't think that we would be challenging for a title this year with our current team.
However, you bring up a good point. Now that Lebron is gone, all of Cleveland's role players can probably be had for expirings and picks.

Verajao, Mo Wil, Jamison, etc are prime targets for a predatory Morey if he wants them.

No. People were stupid enough to think Cleveland would deny a sign-and-trade, but grudges alleviate quickly when you have business decisions to make. NBA owners and GMs aren't in the business of cutting off their nose to spite their face.

Horrible idea.....that trade is lopsided in the cavs favor....you make the lakers worse , not better. They're the perfect team to beat Miami since they can overwhelm them inside and lebron/wade can't get inside the paint when it'll be clogged up.

And "plug their holes"??? This is a BACK TO BACK championship team you're refering to. A team who hasnt been realistically challenged in 3 years, except by Boston, who's on their way down. They have ZERO reasons to break up the core and any holes they have are pretty minor. They just plugged their hole at back up this offseason while you werent looking. They dont need to get raped by Cleveland.

Bynum for Varejao + a bunch of overpaid guys that disappear in the playoffs?

Of course Cleveland would do the trade, it's a smart trade, it's got nothing to do with helping LA beat Miami, in fact it makes that matchup easier for Miami.

Orlando and Celtics still have a good shot of beating the Heat so I don't think it's a sure thing for Heat in the East.

Or send Delonte West to Orlando to get closer to Lebron's mom.

Doesn't help cavs earn more money. Its all a business no matter what they say.

OP realizes that Bynum is more valuable than Varejao and Mo Williams, right?

Don't like. You can't teach size. Bynum has size. What has everyone been saying about the Lakers. They have to much height which makes it hard for teams to beat them. No one matches up well with them. Why would you trade your big advantage you have on the rest of the league. it doesn't make sense to me.

I like this idea for a totally different reason.

    Get rid of Mo.
    Parker? Who cares?
Boobie. I'm curious to see if he gets a chance to play more, maybe evolve into an AB light. Unlikely though. See ya.

    Taking Vujacic. Ugh.
Bynum - I'll take that potential over anything we have now.

Lakers get worse. Mo will look decent coming off the bench though.
