Well either the Big O or Big Shot Bob. This guy has the size, strength, footwork and agility to be able to take advantage of being tutored by the Dream. He has all around physical ability minus the height that Hakeem had. No way am I comparing the two but I do see how Patterson would benefit from the coaching of Olajuwon.

I don't know who exactly it is that decides these things (coach, GM, owner, or Dream himself) but this needs to be requested or set up by somebody. Patrick really has the skill set to benefit from a few lessons with the Legend.

    Pat Pat shake anyone????

No, is that really his nickname tho, like this guy/girl/thing:

While were Dreaming here (pun intended) can I upgrade to include a side of Hill to go with?

If there is anyone on this roster that would benefit from Hakeem, this man would be it.

Dream should have a chance to coach Scola, Patterson, and Hill. Scola out of the three to me has the best foot work, must be the scoccer thing.

    absent any objective criteria?

Patrick doesn't get a bunch of kudos for coaching, probably deserved. just wondered if folks had real issues? or all of the "stomach curling" subjective variety?

I imagine the more refined players get to work with Hakeem. That's not to say Patterson won't get there, but I imagine he has quite a bit of work on the basics to do before he would truly benefit from working with Hakeem. Hakeem doesn't need to be there to teach him basic moves through repetition - he needs to already be somewhat polished before working with the Dream. Let's hope he gets there.

I think Scola is pretty polished...he doesn't need any more coaching. Hill and Patterson (especially Patterson), if he can learn to be a good post up player like Scola...he's going to be awesome. Maybe even starting over Scola. He's got the size and strength to play defense. His ability to jump and rebound and block shot is there due to his arm length.

Scola seems like he would learn more from Kevin McHale
limited athleticism. that up and under move would be great etc.

Why not just make hakeem an assistant coach. We can roll with four of them.

Dream doesn't have to do anything for the Rockets. He already did EVERYTHING.

I would rather see Hakeem Abdullah take Jordan Hill under his wing.

    Certainly couldnt hurt....

But over the years, Hakeem has worked with many a center, including Yao, and to my knowledge not one of them has employed the dreamshake. Surely this would be covered. I guess its either to hard a trick to learn or to teach.

Patterson is much more refined than Hassan Whiteside. Hakeem worked with Whiteside before the draft. I'll be really disappointed, if he says Patterson isn't as refined as Whiteside for his tutoring.
