    THIS.

These guys, maybe with the exception of CBud, aren't used to an 82 game schedule, much less three in a row.

I was poking fun at the use of "raw IQ." I know Hill started playing basketball very late. Hopefully, he actually has the IQ, raw or otherwise, to be an impact player at some point for the Rockets. I'm still optimistic.

JVG has coached in the NBA for quite a while. Sure, he's no "number cruncher" or "stat geek." And Phil Jackson has the nicest chair in the NBA. Does that make them as utterly clueless as you seem to think Morey is?

Everyone on the summer league roster is here for one of two reasons:

    1) To make a case for more playing time
    2) To make the 15-man roster

If they can't dig down for a little extra on that third night, they're going to have trouble with either of those things.

Disagree. The NBA has a little mercy on players and there are no triple headers during the NBA season.

Now the NBA should think about either eliminating back2backs(seriously) or shortening the season. Just look at how many guys complain about the 'grueling' NBA season, just look at all the NBA players that will skip out on the World Championships coming up.

the NBA will do that only if there is an across the board player's salary cut

what the NBA should do is ensure that the number of back2backs and 4 games in 5 nights equal for all teams

I don't think Morey's clueless. He is much smarter than me. Much smarter.

I think he just reacted like a proud father does with his own child. You are always much harder and more critical of your own because you expect the best and want the best for them.

My point was and still is 3 games and 3 workouts back to back to back affected their play. You don't think Scola and Battier reached down against Miami when they lost 99-66. Sometimes you can reach down all you want but it just isn't there.

That's what happen last night IMO. More than just not playing right the tank was empty. You can disagree but I bet Morey in his own mind realizes that maybe mental and physical fatigue played a part in their poor performance.

Not a bad group of guys overall to have as scrubs. I'd take them over some other teams' 2nd/3rd team options. Good thing they aren't our starters though. But I'd have to say I like our depth going into this season.

I know and that is really unfortunate. Really think the quality of play would increase, as well as adding more importance to each game, and would help the world game so players can actually play for their team.

But yeah, it's good the NBA doesn't do back2back2backs like the summerleague, at one point they did and moved away from it. So maybe one day they will just eliminate the back2backs entirely.

The same day Joel Przybilla went down with a season ending injury. Which makes me wonder if he had a deal in place just before that injury occurred.
Another time was when Von Wafer failed his physical.
The last one I can remember was when he was really upset with the refs after the Rockets lost a close game at home.
There's a thread about it around here some where.

I try to be as intellectually honest as I can when I post, so I will give you: for whatever reason JT reverted today to last year's JT. He needs to keep working on what the coaches told him. Still, I still see him as a spark from the bench, a most useful player.

ps. Good to see C-Bud hitting his 3's. I was never worried about him.

You may have hit the nail on the head. Hill certainly can finish a play, but he can't start one (on the low block).

Perhaps we are asking to become a player beyong his skillset.

When Von Wafer failed his physical, I remember someone posting here that Morey scrambled out of his seat, making calls on his cell phone. Nothing more than that.

There was another outburst but "grabbing the usher", well, wasn't that later reported to be Gerson Rosas he was grabbing?

I agree! One thing we must consider is that JT exerts more energy than most of the other players. His game involves him constantly defeating more than just one man on his way to the basket. Everybody suffered from playing 3 straight games, but I could see where it could take a bigger toll on him. I also think that with everybody struggling, he ended up trying to do way too much. But with that said, he needs to make better decisions and do a better job of protecting the ball.

Glad to see Chase hitting those 3's and finally being more aggressive. He too must make better decisions, there were times he forced things to the basket. It's kind of strange, but we want JT to be more like Chase and vice versa. Chase's game is his outside shooting, but we want him to be able to beat his man to the basket. In theory, this keeps the defense honest. JT's game is primarily going to the rim, but a better outside shot and dishing to an open man will make him a much better player.

Kings-Pistons game is on right now.

Whiteside has been blocking every layup..hasnt done much on the offensive end.

Cousins is playing good in the post.
