In America it probably hurts slightly more than it helps
In Europe, doesnt seem to be an issue? In the NBA 9 out of 10 overseas guys will have some scruffle, on their face OR bodies.

You mention the allergic reaction. Hell my own skin is probably allergic to my own facial bacteria.

But how much of it with women is for the "Cuz WE HAVE to be hairless, we demand men be hairless too" reason ?

Its not ALL JUST that, just wondering how much it plays a part.

Random trivia: No US president has had a moustache in almost 100 years (since William Howard Taft in 1913). Clean shaven faces are seen as more "trustworthy"

I always thought I'd want a man who was hairless. I'll be honest I don't shave half as much as I should or expect too. During the winter my legs go longer than shaving than most other times just because I'm busy with two kids and hell, no one looks at my legs. Juicy, however, descends from hairy tribe way back when. So I'm stuck with it, it seems. :p

As far as being allergic, I was dating this one kid in high school who had started growing facial hair and when we got to making out the stubble would pierce my skin (as it does with anyone's skin whether they just rub against it or move their hands across it) and the microbacteria would get into the microscopic holes and cause my face and lips to swell. It was pretty bad. So embarrassing that I didn't go to school for several days until the reaction died down.

Ramu, I think they'll let you shop in the Ladies Dept no matter how long your shadow is.
