He was born in Brooklyn and raised in Red Hook projects in Brooklyn until 8. Lala Vasquez is a Brooklyn girl too. Most of his family still lives in Brooklyn, today.

Im sorry i still dont understand all the homerism for DM. Other than the draft, he has done zero to increase our chances of winning another title. In my opinion hes a below par GM and none of the praise he gets makes sense to me.

The Landry for Martin trade brings us closer. T-Mac for draft pick swap with NY in 2011, and NY's 2012 pick, will also bring us closer.

I don't think so. A franchise tag would only impact one player per team, a tiny minority. Also look for max contracts to be reduced in length. Probably by one year. Both changes are desperately needed and will have overwhelming public support. Since the players will run out of money before the owners do, I expect things to wrap up pretty quickly.

Dude. Carmelo's hometown is Baltimore. He moved there when he was eight, and that's where he keeps his family and his off season home. He runs a rec center in downtown Baltimore and local tournaments every year. He's a crazy celeb there.

While he was born in Brooklyn, he pretty much grew up in Baltimore. His family moved to Baltimore when he was 8.

6 of the top 10 players on just two teams would be pretty funny. Not sure how hilarious Milwaukee and Indiana would find it, but it'd be entertaining for sure.

Ok, his hometown is Baltimore, but what the previous poster said about Carmelo having no sentimental ties to Brooklyn, NY is still wrong. He had his wedding in NY. Carmelo and La La have family in Brooklyn.

some really need to consider this past free agency.

No Mega-Super Start will want to come to Houston as a free agent.

    The next "great"

Will be by draft, or by trade.

We have not had a great since Hakeem.

Forgot about that Aaron Brooks signing huh?

Dude, he traded Landry for 3 lottery picks.

You tell me who won. They see Morey, they run. Haha.

    3-team trade proposal?

I saw a 3-team trade proposal on a chinese basketball forum. The thread starter said he was told by a friend who lives in Houston. I don't know if this is true.

    Rockets
Get: Trade exception from New Jersey, Terrence Williams/Courtney Lee from New Jersey, a protected 1st round draft pick from New Jersey, Al Jefferson from Minnesota
Send: Luis Scola to New Jersey, Chase Budinger/Jermaine Taylor/Jordan Hill(either one or two) to Minnesota, Jared Jeffries may be involved in the trade

    Nets
    Get: Luis Scola from Houston
Send: Trade exception to Houston, Terrence Williams/Courtney Lee to Houston, a protected 1st round draft pick to Houston

    Timberwolves
Get: Chase Budinger/Jermaine Taylor/Jordan Hill(either one or two) from Houston and possibly Jeffries?
    Send: Al Jefferson to Houston

As I said before, I am not sure if this is a reliable source so don't blame me if this is fake.
