Your problem is that the Spaniards could just dance around you. I feel Germany needs more technical players, not just a team full of lanky lean athletes. Germany was at its best when you had guys like Mattaus, Hassler.

You are not. It's kind of an unfortunate font. That R sure looks like an A.

Forlan should win the Golden Ball for his performance in the tourney despite the 4th place finish. He's been so impressive. Uruguay would be utterly lost without him.

Since we are coming to an end to the World Cup

I was wondering where do you guys now place ... the World Cup compare to

the NFL , NBA, MLB playoff to watch?

    For me:

    NFL playoff
    World Cup
    NBA playoff
    MLB playoff

I am biased because he is my friend, but if I were to give it to someone who is not in the final (which will not happen, I think Sneijder or Xavi or Iniesta or Villa will get it), I would give it to Schweinsteiger, even though he didn't score.

I know this probably isn't that big of a deal to most people but the gaddamn vuvusliesa ruined the world cup for me. I pray south africa will never win any sporting host gigs ever again. I squealed with joy when south africa got knocked out.

Anyways, I hope the finals will be a high scoring one. Forget defense, I want to see Suns vs Warriors type of game. If Torres subs in, I would laugh if he doesn't get passed again. Go Spain!

    Spain 6 - 4 The Netherlands.

I want the Netherlands to win, but I think Spain will win it all...

Great cup and I hate that it will be 4 more years until the next one....dang it !!!

Somehow in order for soccer to grow, we need more quality compeitions during the non WC years...can we get into the Euro cup?

Apparently they will bid for the Olympics. The Vuvuzelas are one of the things i will remember about this world cup. they brought a uniquely South African feel to it. Loved them

And by the way for all those who doubted South Africa could host the world cup successfully. Well with one game left, they have done a damn good job.

Oh God no. I hope they never get it. Not that it matters since I pretty much only watch basketball games in the Olympics and I doubt they'll let the devil's plastic toys in a closed arena. You're very lucky, you don't mind the noise.

It's such a shame, though. I was all for Africa and real excited that they could host, until the opening match.

and honestly I fail to get any "south african" feel from the devil's horns. I guess the finals will be a bitter sweet thing for me. I'm glad I won't ever have to listen to those noises again (I pray to God), but I'd be saddened I won't get to see the best of the world battling for glory.

I was planning on saving up to go to South Africa a couple years ago. I'm glad I decided to postpone that. One of the best decisions of my life.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Copa_América is your best shot. Too bad Mexico got invited and USA wasn't.
