Oh yeah, I forgot that some of you can't watch. Ming has 5 points, one on a open 3 and another on a turnaroud 15 footer, maybe further. China is still winning, too. edit: on the assist, Yao was posting up, turned past his man and went baseline. He passed to a open man for a 3. Pretty quick.
Man, the rest of the team is bringing it tonight. The US is usually doubling Yao, but Yao passes it and the guy will MAKE it. Hard to believe, right?
i think the 2nd half will be fun to watch.. idont think the dream team can double Yao today with the outside shooting of china.. 5-7 from 3 point land!! Yao is 1 for 1...
Is it unpatriotic of me to be rooting for China? I just have a habit of always pulling for the underdog. Sure come the 4th Quarter I want the USA squad to pull out a last-second victory, but not now. I want China to continue putting up a challenge cause its David vs. Goliath and David is kicking Goliath's butt to start out the battle!
Earlier in the game, they did. However, they pulled Ming after his second foul (cheap one at that while either Davis or the Detroit guy mugged him with no call.
Yeah. Its the end of the 1st now, China ahead. Yao left about maybe 2 or 3 minutes before the end of the quarter. He had 2 fouls, but they kept him in. Shawn Marion and him were alone on the US side, and SM was going to drive, but lost it. If he didn't lose it, a foul would have been called on Ming because he bumped him after he lost it. BTW, the 2 fouls weren't really his fault. The 1st was when a guy drived. Ming contested the shot, but the US player passed it to someone on the baseline. Yao contested that shot too, but got called with a foul. The 2nd was after a bad pass to Ming, and Ming dove after the ball and bumped someone.
Wow. He passes. He sets picks. When was the last time anyone in our frontcourt did anything besides pass gas or pick their nose?
