What do you think? The Kings won their one and only championship 60 years ago.

If I change it to Bill Worrell's lifetime, my answer changes.

    Nobody knows.

It's pointless to guess really. We could end up forming a dynasty or we could get shutout for the next 5 decades... or somewhere in between.

As Rockets fans, we hope we win multiple titles.

Morey is a good GM which helps the cause but he can only do so much.

If you were a Rockets fan in the mid 90s, just be happy that you witnessed 2 championships. That's more than most teams.

It depends on when we can draft another Dream.

It will take another 50 years or so.

    answer is NO.

question to those who voted no- were you around during the Two-Time Championship era?

I think it makes a difference. If you were a fan who experienced the thrill of your team winning it all, there will always be the desire to get that winning taste back.

It's pretty much a given that we want it so bad that we truly believe in our heart of hearts that we will reach the pinnacle again.

I don't need reminders of our current record, roster, or that we haven't won in 15 years.

lol, we are rabid Rocket fans, and the Houston Rockets will always be champions in an elite group of teams.

And we will be back in that elite group in my lifetime. I have no doubt in my mind.

Some of you are saying you hope so. But is that what you really think?

I wasn't around during the Rockets' championships. So now I want to see one in Houston to be able to celebrate.

I know we'll not win one for at least the next 8 years (Lebron implied so).

Every team I have cheered for only won championships when I was too young to know what's going on.

Now that I'm old enough to know what is going on my teams don't win ****.

    I'm fed up

Honestly, the Lakers and Blazers are the only teams in the West that will give the Rockets some competition. All of the other teams in the West have been declining or are still rebuilding. Spurs are getting old, Mavs always choke no matter who is on their roster, Utah/Phoenix both lost their top player in Boozer/Amare, Thunder/Kings/Hornets are still rebuilding, but are on the right path to being contenders soon once they add some role players with their stars. Nuggets are going to be done in a season after Carmelo demands a trade to NY.

As for the Rockets, we're young and filled with role players and talent. We just need Yao to stay healthy and wait for Morey to pull a mid season trade and acquire us another go to all-star type wing or pray that one of our young guys develop into that type of player very soon. I def like our chances of winning the West in the next 1-3 years especially with our 2011 and 2012 NYK draft picks. Morey has done an excellent job of turning 2nd round picks into good players, so imagine what he'll do with 2 more lottery picks (By the way, Patterson is going to be another Lamar Odom). The future is bright for the Rockets and when you have a management like ours, we'll be in good hands and back in the spotlight soon.

The only thing I'm worried about is the Cavs promise of winning a title before Lebron does :)

    Anything can happen.

Could anyone predict that Phoenix would be a heartbeat away from the Finals last season? Or that Durant and the Thunder wouldn't be swept? Or how about a 6-seed coming from behind twice to win a ring?

Prediction on small time scale is hard, on a large time scale is down right impossible. At best, we can make a wishful guess and say yes. I think anyone who says no to this question must be depressed or jaded or something along those lines. To be a fan is to be irrational.

that's why you watch sports. it's unpredictable more often than not.

if yao comes back 100% healthy, kmart stays healthy and has a career year, brooks elevate his game even more... we may not need anoter player and still be a contender.
