It would be awesome to see #8 Cleveland upset #1 Miami in the playoffs.

The 2 future 1st round picks can not be in consecutive years. I am guessing Cleveland gets the 2011 and 2013 1sts, while Miami keeps the 2012 1st pick.

I wonder if Miami gave them the pick that the Raptors owe them.

It looks like Cleveland will get the 2013 1st pick and 2015 1st pick.

Toronto is getting it's own 1st pick back from Miami and Miami's 2011 1st pick.

These picks are worthless. Miami will be a top seed in the East for the next 6 years.

The trade exception expires next year. Maybe the Cavaliers go for an unwanted player from a team dumping salary such as Elton Brand or Arenas, or Okafor and Collison.

    1. There is a me if you jumble it up.
    2. There is an "I" in Win
    3. There is an "I" in King.

    Your classlessness,

wow, those picks are going to be bad.

anyway, i have been thinking, just picture the kind of calls that miami is going to get. would you say they would average 30 freethrows a game between the three?

Wow! Considering that the Heat could go 82-0 next season and still pick no lower than #30 (since there are only 30 teams in the league), you must think they will break the space/time continuum or something.

That, or you know something about two expansion teams being added that no one else knows. :p

This sound like what's going to happen.

Agreed with those who say that the 2013 and 2015 picks are going to be low picks (in the #28 to #30 range) and that Miami can just buy picks in the 31-40 range who will play for less and be comparable talent.

Interesting to see how Colangelo managed to get BOTH 2011 first rounders from Miami. I actually think those picks might not be too bad. The Toronto pick was lotto protected until 2015, so Miami probably wouldn't have cashed in on it anytime soon. The Heat's pick next year could be in the #22 to #26 range or so.

I'm still pissed that Colangelo wouldn't just agree to take on one year of David Andersen (plus cash to cover his salary) along with those picks. Then, the Rockets could have gotten Tyson Chandler. (Unless in the four-team trade the Heat's own 2011 pick wasn't offered. Then, at least I'd get it.)

Arguably those 1st round picks will be right at the end of the first round, so they can just buy an early 2nd round pick and be about the same.

Considering those guys can opt out in 3 years, who knows what will happen by 2015. It will be "The Decision, Part II"

I don't know, the refs tend to be less inclined to the "what if he fouls out" when there's 3 of them, or at least thats how it seemed as i watched boston the last 3 years.

A lot can happen between now and 2013 and especially 2015. They look like low picks now, but who knows? I guess if you are Cleveland, you might as well take a couple of assets and see what happens.

I'd also add, the NBA stands to make way more money on Miami failing, imagine a Miami Lakers fans, there would be Boston and Miami fans cheering for Miami and everyone else for the Lakers almost....

The team I sympathize the most on now. I hope they can get better again.

use the trade exception & two 2nd rd. picks for Al Jefferson
    Antawn Jamison for Iggy
    Sign Al Harrington

Al Jefferson + Varejao + Harrington + Iggy + Mo Williams

it might be good enough for #7 in the East and meet the Heats in the 1st round
