Found this article by an idiot on RealGM about LeBron and how the fans never really loved him. There is a brief mention in it regarding McGrady and the Rockets.
I accidentally posted this thread twice, so if anyone has the ability to delete the other one, please do.
I agree with everything in the article except that McGrady segment. Obviously, because it is wrong. The writer made the Rockets out to be the bad guys when it was McGrady who was creating all the drama. The James-Cleveland-Gilbert saga, though, is accurate. James went from being a saint to ...*insert insult here* in minutes because of his decision (and the way he announced it).
All I know is, I can't wait to watch Heat at Cavs home game. http://kissmyasslebron.bigcartel.com/product/you-can-head-south-but-your-mom-rides-west lol
To be honest, the whole situation was handled poorly, very poorly. Not just by McGrady, but by the organization. Just be glad we are over it.
Hate say it but it's true. McGrady shouldn't have blocked the VC trade in the manner he did, but it's almost at the opposite end of what Lebron did, McGrady wanted to do everything possible to stay with the Rockets (same with Francis). But as soon as he is unable to perform, he will be treated like an asset to attempt to get something better. That's the NBA and that's why Lebron going to Miami is not bad, announcing it on an one hour special he requested, that's what is bad.
